Can a player still declare mulligan? Or is it now a silly millenial word now?
They actually reworked mulligans! You still do the same thing where you shuffle your hand in and draw that many minus one, but once you keep your hand you can scry 1 (look at the top card of your library and either keep it there or put it on the bottom)

sacrificing blockers after they've blocked but before damage hit
hah yeah that was dumb, exploity bullshit getting rid of it was a good idea
life's a game that you're bound to lose / like using a hammer to pound in screws
fuck up once and you break your thumb / if you're happy at all then you're god damn dumb
that's right we're on a fucked up cruise / God is dead but at least we have booze
bad things happen, no one knows why / the sun burns out and everyone dies
The worst was Oblivion Ring. O-ring was written as: When ~ ETB, exile target nonland permanent.
When ~ LTB, return target card exiled with ~ to the battlefield under its' owners control.
You could cast o-ring, target a thing, while it was still on the stack you could sac o-ring, the second parg resolves becore exiling the target and then that card is exiled forever.
nowadays I just play with my housemate's X-Wing minis
flying a sqad of 6 TIEs is pretty fun until they all start crashing into each other

hmm that's mostly fair
depending on what your using to kill the enchantment
a strait exile seems to cost around 4 mana

Sherlock Holmes game is ducking rad and hard as hell
Why won't the murderer in this opening case just confess... I'm gonna stream it later when I do the second case I think that'll make for riveting and frustrating viewing as I derp.

Yeah but the issue is, it was a gotcha for players that did not know about it.

I used to take advantage of tapping creatures assigned as blockers (before damage) with icy manipulator so they ate damage but didn't dole out.
Dang, I can remember a lot about magic given timeframe.
heh when I played (still in damage on the stack days) you only had to be untapped to be assigned a blocker.
When damage calc time came around it didn't matter if you were tapped or not, you were already blocking so you dealt and rec'd.
Of cource that meant the defender could block with creatures, then use their tap abilities

Oh man, En Passant pisses off people so much. In casual pickup chess games I have done that and had people argue that I can't do it because it's not a "normal rule" or some nonsense. Yes it is! It totally is!
People do not like losing or suffering a blow because of lack of rules knowledge. Because it sucks. It's almost worth mentioning at the start of a game so they know.
En Passant : chess :: "Damage on the stack" : Magic the Gathering
Fucking mana burn.
i started playing hearthstone and my favorite thing to do is to make people lose by running out of cards.
it's like they thought they were playing one game and I was playing another the entire time.

I really loved my forest fire deck back in what might as well have been the Paleozoic era of Magic. Red/Green all the way baby.
I have made some fun silly decks. I did have a hymn deck back when that was broken. Howling Pit (make enemy discard when you do/take damage) deck. Now I would probably be more for weird trick decks considering in Netrunner my favorite deck is the Jinteki black tree deck I was playing.

Rock I handle these professionally.

Mulligans have actually gotten better! If you mulligan lower than your opponent, you also get the Scry 1 at the start of the game.
If you mulligan at all you get to scry. Both people can scry if they're mulliganing.
Proper use of the mulligan is a huge part of doing well in competitive CCGs like Magic and Hex. And I am really bad at it.
Mulligans are still an important part of playing magic.
Knowing when and when not to take them is very big.

Ah, I wasn't sure exactly on this since I've only played online since the rule change, and it handles it automatically for you.

I am having to puzzle this out in my own head, sifting all of the clues. Why was this kid breaking back in if he had what he wanted, etc?
I think I know what to do but... *chews nails*
