Registration via Phone

While I'm normally seconds away from a computer in years past when the notice goes out for registration, this year there's a high chance I will be left with just my phone for long periods of time during the window when badges are probably going to go up.

A friend of mine lost out on badges a couple years back because his phone's browser could not progress through the sale queue properly. So my question, just so I know in advance: with an iPhone running IOS9, when I get the twitter notice that registration is opened can I go through the entire process on my phone, queue, ticket payment, hotel registration? Or will I be out of luck unless there's a nearby computer?

I was walking off a plane when the tweet came through last year. I was able to get through the whole ticketing process on an Android smartphone.

You can register for passes on mobile. No clue about hotels, but I'd imagine that you'd be able to do that as well.

I believe there is a mobile version of the hotel system also.

I've bought badges on my phone for the past three years, so as long as your internet connect is half-decent, you'll be fine

I ordered Prime badges for 2013 on my phone, and I'm pretty sure at least at East/Prime since then. Shouldn't be an issue as others said so long as you have a decent connection.

Make sure you have a charger. You might be waiting for some time, and the last thing you want is for your battery to die as you get through the queue.

I concur. Mobile purchasing might even be easier than on PC. And yeah, have a charger.

I pretty much have exclusively done the last three years (hotels badges etc) for west, south and east on my android. The only downside is having two tabs open at once and having them both update effectively. It happens, but sometimes it can be a bit iffy if you arent checking it regularly.

For the past three years I was only at work and ordered from my Android; it was fine. Also, one of those times I was at work, I DID have access to a computer, but my phone was faster.

Ordered last two years on Safari in iOS.

Recommend copy/paste into Safari rather then clicking link in Twitter (or hold and select Open in Safari if that works).

And yes, coverage/charger obviously. Nearly ran out two years ago in queue, battery hit like 8%.

Considering that tickets are gone in less than 15-20 minutes usually, your phone would need to be pretty dead for it to require a charger to stay alive while in the queue. lol

It was 30-60 minutes last year. I certainly don't want to test my phone with constant internet use for 30 minutes if badges are on the line.

I have bought my passes on my iPhone for the last few years and have never had an issue. I just bought south badges yesterday and it was super easy.

Looks like 30 minutes, however I had friends who clicked the link in the first 5 minutes, and then sat in the queue for 10-15 and was told that they were sold out of Fri-Sun.... So I am not sure where the 35 minutes came from as they got the sold out message within 15 minutes...

Maybe they are considering all the ones that were in carts and then released and then nabbed again?

Regardless, I do not think you will be using Internet for more that 15-20 minutes tops. Either until you get them purchased, or you get the sold out messages. lol

If you look at the top of the speadsheet I put a paragraph describing the Queue and how I arrive at the sell out time I post. If your friends had kept hitting refresh they probably would have seen more tickets pop up for sale. The time I put on the spreadsheet is not a perfect number, just a general time frame when badges stopped popping back up for sale.

For Android users, are you using Chrome? I use Firefox and in past years, even though I get in queue first on phone, it clears to the purchase faster on my PC. If so, I will make sure to swap my default browser.

2013: Internet Explorer on a windows phone.

    2015: Chrome on Nexus 5.

In both instances I was able to get tickets and book hotel rooms.
