Clark Gregg is probably freaking out so much considering he's such a 70s comic nerd

    Okay, sure

I'm just happy it's not more Inhuman stuff

Jeph Loeb refers to Ghost Rider as the Spirit of Vengeance in the announcement so looks like he's still Supernatural and shit

Huh. I would've expected a Netflix series if they wanted to do something with Ghost Rider.

I mean, they still have the opportunity to bust out Johnny Blaze or Danny Ketch if they feel like it

    I'm not too surprised, really

He's had two movies, both of which were critical flops and one of which was a financial bomb.

Unlike Punisher, he doesn't have the pervasive cultural presence to lean back on so I wouldn't be too shocked if Netflix wasn't super interested in a Ghost Rider series.

And since they're going with Robbie personally I'm fine with him being part of AoS as he hasn't even had 20 ssues of solo stories (and only 1 real guest appearance) so far so that's a pretty shallow well to draw from

The door is open for down the road if they want to do Johnny or Danny and this way Robbie gets a multimedia appearance and a big push in the comics after being MIA since Secret Wars wrapped up

The teaser video on there, with the flaming skull bursting through the logo, looks like one of those cheap commercials for haunted house times at amusement parks

Well they got some fiery chains CGI practice in already with the Hellfire guy last season.

If they cast a rando dude to turn and debut Thanos to the Marvel universe in a movie that made a BILLION dollars...

...that's probably about 2 hours of the summer intern's time in After Effects.

They have the real people working on the skull, I'm sure.

So I've been on this Marvel train for 2 years now, and I'm shocked it has not derailed yet

The director for Thor 3's latest film is one of the most acclaimed films released this year with literally no negative reviews on Rotten Tomatoes

I feel pretty good about its chances of being both excellent and the best Thor film

I mean the most promising thing about Thor 3 is that they're dropping the whole Jane romance angle that was dragging down the first two

The first Thor isn't great but at least there's some drama to it

Thor 2 is like painfully formulaic and wanders from the protagonist for long stretches for no reason; it's pretty much only redeemed by hiddleston being great

I agree dropping Portman as Foster was a good move though; I'm still baffled by why she even took that role, since I assume she has enough money

so mad i'm gonna have to watch agents of shield

    you don't have to

probably best to wait anyway as there's a good chance this'll just be a Ghost Rider in name only, like what happened with the Secret Warriors

    http://www.ew.com/article/2016/07/22/agents-shield-ghost-rider-car
The All-New Ghost Rider comics reveal that Robbie is a different kind of Ghost Rider. Instead of being possessed by a Spirit of Vengeance, he’s taken over by a Satanic serial killer. The S.H.I.E.L.D. bosses, however, were shy to say whether they’ll go down that same path. “We’re staying true to his circumstance,” Tancharoen said. “But as always with any property that we use, we’re taking our liberties with it.
