[Midair] New Tribes/Legions style game

I blame the Overwatch hype for completely missing out the news about Midair being made. It looks like a mix of Tribes 1 and Tribes 2 with a different art style. I don't see any vehicles in the game yet but according to the Kickstarter page these are being made.

The Kickstarter campaign is already at 81% meaning that another Tribes style game in my lifetime is becoming a reality.

Looks great. I'm a huge fan of Starsiege and Tribes and played since the first one in 99. It looks likes this has really taken what was great in the first Tribes and added new art direction on top.

I also had a chuckle at the "hand" gun. I'll have to check this out as I never really went back to Tribes:Ascend after developer support was initially dropped.

Now if only another group would come along and take what was great about Starsiege and make another one since 2845 fell through years ago.

They're at 88% of their goal which is fantastic. I don't think I'll back it myself because I don't have a lot of time to commit to a strictly multiplayer affair, but if it takes off on release I'd be keen for a look

I was interested in getting back into Tribes Ascend after the whole revitalization thing, but I guess because they're a moba company now they require you to install some external anti-cheat program or something. And I really can't be bothered jumping through hoops like that for one game, especially when there's tons of others that don't make that same ask.

I did not play Tribes Ascend that much, they made it too different with health regeneration and other weird stuff.
