getting the skillups has so far been hell. I'm about 500 stamina deep into grinding ff2 and I've gotten 2 lightning skillups. And I have to do the other one for Tifa

I got lucky and maxed Squall. I have gotten zero skill ups on anyone else no matter how many I put into them on 4x rates.

You'll eventually want one at max skill, second at max skill - 1, and the third at max skill - 2 at the minimum. This let's them come up one right after another.

i don't think it matters a great deal

in theory you just need 1 max skill, 1 with maxskill-1 and one with maxskill-2

it's more fun imo to approach them one at a time because then you can think like "ok one down" whereas the other way there's no milestones until you're done - also you could probably use a completed one by itself easier than three 1/3 done

Surprisingly something the ranking dungeon helps a lot with. At least if you have Cloud, Sephiroth, Vaan, Yuna, Tidus, or Noctis.

For the benefit of anyone who doesn't already know, with double drop rates, the FF collab dungeon has guaranteed drops on every floor (except the last) on the lowest difficulty. You can farm it pretty quickly with Kagutsuchi or a similar lead. (Not sure whether or not this also applies to the second collab dungeon.)

Yeah, Reco isn't really the yardstick to measure a card by. I watched him oneshot a boss with a 99% damage shield and Water attribute using Kenshin. General consensus on Reddit is that Aizen is strong, but he's not top-tier material. Other sites rank him at around A to A+. Though who knows how that'll change with the buff.

New information on the King Tans. They will not function like pys at all. Instead you include a King Tan to be fused along with the skill up materials. So long as the King Tan matches the base element of the card you're trying to skill up it will guarantee those skill up materials have a 100% rate. So you can go up 4 points at a time, if you have the materials.

As long as the Tan isn't ridiculous to get, that seems fair. Farm your skill up material, farm up a few Tans to guarantee 100% success rate.

Related, maxed out my Apocalypse's skill, finally. Basically just Myr left.

I got Tifa, Noctis, Yuna, and Lightning all skilled up yesterday, freeing up all five piis from this week to be used on Ra Dragon.

Now I just need Ilm skillups to come back around and to button farm Nordis for a few dozen hours to get the xp fodder I need to make all these new teams work.

Also I need a lot of liquor to forget what farming FF collabs for 8 hours is like.
