Skelethulhu may as well not exist as far as the blacksmiths go. He's hard to find, easy to miss, and a huge pain in the arse to get back to once you're out of the area.

Also, he drops the best helmet in the game if you kill him.

The Giant Blacksmith may forge the weapons of the gods, but Vamos forges you the Chaos Zweihander +5 which lets you pwn some noobs

What is the deal with the peak

    Snake men are assholes

Also, STR warrior woman may have to wait.

If you're already in the Depths, the blacksmith most people encounter first wouldn't have been very far from where you found the Basement Key

Alright. Now I gotta remember where I found that.

Game is beaten. Nameless King aka the real final boss is still alive though, I'll have to do something about that I suppose.

Okay, so! Productive session for me. Trekked back to Firelink, and to the Undead Parish, and found a bunch of stuff I missed last time, including the blacksmith, the first Titanite Demon, the gargoyle boss, and the first Bell. Oh, and I got the gargoyle tail axe. Fun times, though I'm sticking with my upgraded spear for the time being.

Less stellar moments include being murdered by an invader 2 feet from a bonfire, and getting horribly killed by the Gaping Dragon. Gotta get to him with more pyromancy charges.

    Couple questions:

Is the Gaping Dragon weak to a particular kind of weapon damage? My spear was doing almost nothing to him.

Is there a bestiary where I can find the names of enemies I've fought?

My big first time fuck-up was missing the staircase to the gargoyles and heading through Darkroot to the Valley of the Drakes. Noone told me that the game wasn't linear, so I figured that was where I was supposed to be and I was just, "I could probably get over this bridge after a bunch of tries, but fuck that" and that was the end of that run.

Also, it was amusing to find out that the church wasn't murdering me with, like, holy light of the gods, or anything. But rather, it was just some jerk sniping me with Soul Arrows. Very gratifying to kill that guy.

Pretty much every dragon is weak to lightning.

in every dark sousl they half the number of smiths. 1 had 4, 2 had 2, 3 has one. if there is a 4 there will either be 8 or half of one.

    AHAHAHA.

And here I was, about to talk about how I just died in one attack without inflicting damage.

I am SO glad I went and got the upper bell before continuing into the Deprhs. I don't want to think about how I would've reacted if I'd gotten cursed and then had to fight the gargoyles on half health in order to get the cure.

Man this game gets strange when you try to invade in NG+ over soul level 100. 90% of every invasion now is 1PC 3 White Phantoms AND a Blue Phantom already summoned.

About half the time in these you can see that someone in the group is making a youtube video or a gif or something due to the goofs that they are playing.

Dangit i just want my 16 more mound maker trophies.... Now 2 hours of invading later.... 13 more. Not because i suck because i just get to wait to invade for a long time.... Anyone know of any shortcuts to getting Mound maker trophies?

I think mound makers red eye orb invasions might be much more likely match into worlds with invasions already in progress and thus phantoms and blues present but I could be making that up

I feel like half-a-smith could be arranged in this series.

Got everything in anor londo cleared out and opened up, spent all my souls and charged into Orenstein and Smough just to take a look

They are going to be quite difficult

Yeah, they're hard. You can always summon help.

I guess I need to gather some items before entering NG+

    http://youtu.be/-fKYtTSlwBM

Also, would anyone want to trade weapons? I have a +10 Raw Onikiri and Ubadachi, and I'd love to find someone to trade that for a unaltered set. Or could I just take the raw gem off of it?

I'm pretty sure you can revert weapon upgrades at blacksmiths under modify? But I've never tried it myself.

  • knitdanknitdan Registered User regular
As long as you have a Shriving Stone you can remove any gems you've added.

You do lose the gem though, there's no way around that.

You can take the gargoyles back to Sen's Fortress, and there should be a cage shortcut down to the bottom somewhere around the top.

  • KwoaruKwoaru Registered User regular

I'd like to get some weapons from my end game character to my new character.

I didn't see a way to take the weapons backwards. You can remove infusions with a shriving stone.

Does anyone want to help me trade weapons between my characters?

Does anyone have an un-upgraded Onikiri and Ubadachi? I'll give you my +10.

I got my girls soul back! She was much less enthused than I expected her to be!

Tried Ornstein and Smough with Solaire by my side, he was very useful phase 1, phase 2 he got flattened literally instantly

got a couple decent stabs in on ascended smough though, probably not a good fight for lock on and I need to come up with a better way to deal with lightning butt stomp but I think this should be much more doablo with solaire to help in phase 1

I only tried once but Solaire seemed to default to Orenstein, he got orenstein down to just below half then either got decided to switch to smough or wandered too close or something

It felt very hectic but so much more doable with solaire there to eat punches for round one

I'd kinda like to kill orenstein second anyway, want his armor for fashion souls

Can I be summoned into NG+ if I'm still on my first play through ?
