It did over 200 million last time, so it wasn't too bad. Especially against a pretty low budget of 60 mil. They're pretty cheap to make considering Cruise likely cost them a ton.
Tube? Needlessly aggressive? Never

Fine! I'll watch Jack Reacher!
AFTER GREEN ROOM
The bit where Zuko, as The Blue Spirit, comes to rescue Aang, is surprisingly not emotionally dead and the action is actually kind of fun.
Largely because it relies very little on dialogue or firebending effects, which were both horrible throughout the film, and the airbending actually looks pretty good and mostly meshes well with Noah Ringer's action choreography.
There's little to none of that silly waving arms around uselessly for a moment before the actual bending happens, which is how the entire movie should have looked.
Honestly, had the rest of the film been at least this solid, it would have been a pretty watchable movie if not a really good one.

I looooooooooved it
I was going to get it yesterday but they didn't have it at the Red Box I checked.
I think the Jack Reacher film was primarily meant to entertain people who have read at least one Jack Reacher novel, and did not enjoy the experience.
Jack Reacher's entire identity as an action hero is built around the fact that he's a six-and-a-half foot tall bulldozer of a man. Multiple actors can play Jack Ryan because he's so generic as to be invisible, but Lee Child is incapable of going five pages without mentioning what a Frankensteinian hulk Jack Reacher is. Casting Tom Cruise as Jack Reacher is like casting Wallace Shawn as Fezzik because Andre the Giant was busy.
That pissed me off more than anything else because it wasted Aasif Mandvi's talents as an actor. Shit, I can picture every new nerdy person he works with running up and hugging him, whispering "It's okay, it's okay."
I mean seriously contrast him verses Olivia Munn, both comedic actors that worked on the Daily show, who did high action scenes mimicking cartoons/comics to see what I mean.
my dreams, every single night
yeah when I said that trailer was neat I mostly meant I enjoy seeing people get punched in the head
I should have another beer probably.
One thing I've read that sounds silly about the second film is that the woman he helps is a meeting that was being set up across multiple novels prior to this one. Like, it's a whole "man, are they EVER gonna meet?" scenario that just gets sped up for the movie. Oh well. I still want to see it.
I thought it was but when I checked it wasn't. It must have expired because I'm very sure it was on there.
Glad to see I'm not the only one. I kept pulling out my phone to see how long I'd been stuck there. Also how long each chunk of the movie was.
Boy was that villain a waste. Badly explained on multiple levels, plus a waste of a good actor. Just disappointing.
Also really annoying to see how Simon Pegg wrote himself into more scenes and kept trying to give himself more jokes, more references and more importance.
Since she's a writer this better not be some bullshit all in her head crap.
I really done think it will be though.

You make it through season 2 of Korra btw?
Very close
I've just had a lot of other demands on my time lately
I like it! Some of y'all were selling it like it was hot garbage but it's been fine, definitely a slump from S1 but not by a whole lot
