Best Exercise Bike For Me?

Eternal92Eternal92 Registered User new member
I was wondering if anyone has an idea about exercise bikes? Might as well ask here!

Just looking for a good fit for my home. Not sure what I should be going with.

I have been doing my research. My budget is set at $500.

Not sure which one I should be going with out of the ones listed. Anyone have an opinion?

This is just general exercise equipment advice: the one you will use is the right one for you.

The only way it works for me is if I'm willing to keep the equipment out in the open in front of my tv so I just have a cheap recumbent style bike that I leave next to my couch 24/7. This way I can put on a DVR'd show and just hop on the bike and go for 30-60 minutes.

I'm not an expert or have any other knowledge about specific models but I truly think the above advice is the one that matters especially on the "budget" side of exercise bikes.

The best ones imho is the spinning type since those feel most like riding a real bike plus they aren't noisy so it works better when like watching TV if needed. However they do cost money, but on the upside with such equipment loads of people buy and never really use so finding a good used one for cheap is relatively easy.

I have a recumbent I got off an amazon sale for about $200 5 years ago and then I just stuck it in a corner of my bedroom facing a tv. Then I can ride it for ~60mins a few times a week.

Most bikes seem pretty similar to me, so just get one that feel comfortable to you and then make sure to use it and not just a place to hang some clothes on.

I got myself a Schwinn 270 recumbent stationary bike. I love the way it spins as compared to a cheap second hand stationary I used to have. It was a but pricy but I got it on sale. It also has a built in rollers on the front do you can easily move it around. It did to the side in my living room, and when it's time to ride I just wheel it in front of the tv.
