My wife comes back from shopping.
"I saw something. Pepsi...Crystal?"
"What."
"Crystal Pepsi maybe?"
"Seriously?"
"Yeah. It was a shelf of singles, along the sides of one of the aisles where the chips are. Not with the other pops."
*Quickly checks phone* Wow! They did bring it back.
In June 2016, Pepsi announced that the drink would be making a second return, hitting Canadian stores on July 7th, and American stores on August 8th of that year. The soft drink is reformulated with caffeine and High Fructose Corn Syrup, and will be sold for eight weeks.
I now have some chilling in my fridge. They won't be ready for a few hours.
As noted above, it is different this time around, but I'm hoping it still has that light citrus flavour that I dug so much back in the day. Seriously, my friends and I loved the hell out of Crystal Pepsi back in the 90's. I texted them about this, and here is one of the responses:
"New Blink 182, everyone is playing Pokemon, and Crystal Pepsi. What year is it???"
Gonna party like it's
1999 1993.

Not august 8th yet.
Bummer.
These were the exact two things I expected clicking into this thread
Severely disappointed
hot take: the McRib sucks
I'm not a huge fan either, but we NEED to be keenly aware of when is and isn't back.
Whippy is not gonna be happy when she sees this thread.
it's okay
Then the Bombcast shattered my dreams when Jeff revealed that it was some 7-Up-like concoction and wasn't actually just clear Pepsi at all
Who's slammer?
I don't even like proper ribs, not gonna even attempt some sad McDonald's version of it
I thought I caught that in time
hey satan...: thinkgeek amazon My post |
maybe I will drink exactly one pepsi crystal
It tastes exactly like I remember, but I don't like it anymore
The saddest possible ending
I will probably get in on the Crystal Pepsi reboot, though.
i mean if you notify her she'll see that she was notified in a thread labeled "It's back" and she will leap upright
it's the perfect revenge
You drink my piss
Fruitopia is still here in Canada.
Man, I haven't had a Jolt in forever though.
But then they put the machines in anyway, and they were full of Crystal Pepsi, which they could get super cheap because Pepsi was trying to promote it super aggressively. And no one wanted any, so the machines were gone after we came back from winter break.
If your taste buds are wired to make you think that Coke is good then I could see why you have a bad overall opinion of soda
Another hot take: the new Blink-182 is awful and kind of depressing in its awfulness
Blink-182 without Tom DeLonge, that doesn't really seem like Blink-182 to me
What does it even taste like?

Need some stuff designed or printed? I can help with that.
Sort of the old axe problem, but with even more vaguery. Some bands are driven by multiple people and can persist as at least a version of themselves with the loss of one. Some bands really are defined by a single talent. I don't know enough about Blink-182 to say where they lie. Wikipedia says only one founding member remains, so maybe they're Blink-61 now
