[No Man's Sky] Your Universe Awaits, and wants you to pick up some stuff on the way
Whether or not we can name our ships, I'm going to think of mine as the Rocinante, because as it turns out Cygnus X-1, Book II: Hemispheres holds a very important place in my heart.
Man, more new shit
I wonder how outdated this dude's pre-release copy and impressions will seem when the patch hits
At the very least, I would bet that resource that was worth way way more money than everything else will not be the case anymore, and that was the main way he rocketed to the center
They're also very careful in not saying "day 1 update," though, just "update 1"
No Man’s Sky is a game about exploration and survival in an infinite procedurally generated galaxy, coming to PS4 on August 9th in North America and August 10th in Europe, and on PC worldwide on August 12th.
I don't know how you can possibly read that as anything but "PC everywhere August 12th"
To me that screams "PS4 these two days in these two regions, PC August 12th no matter where you are"
Every storefront it's coming out on still says the 9th, and the Steam date changed for other territories when the About page changed and it didn't here
I find it very hard to believe that we are a week before release, and a week after this question started, and they don't have the accurate date on the storefront that has the majority of the PC userbase by far
I wanna play it right at midnight, and it's something I'll just want on my system at all times, and as pretty as the art book may end up being, I already have a bunch of art books/strategy guides that don't get much out of me
I haven't been excited about any video game in a good long while. I'm not even sure I'm excited about this one yet, but I'll jump aboard the hype train.

What'd you just say to me?
All I knew about was Pillar of Autumn (which is great)
I just assumed Truth and Reconciliation was the title of that chapter and that's all
I played through four Halo games and at no point did I have any clue about what was happening in them
It seems to be a thing with Bungie games
Is the Vic Viper the name of the kind of spacecraft it is (like x-wing) or the name of that particular spacecraft?
Mecha aren't starfighters... Wait are individual veritech fighters named?
The Falcon' more freighter sized than a fighter. Same with Fett's Slave 1.
And its the only one of its kind so don't tell me its just the name of the model
jet's/faye's too ?
hammer head, redtail
those are all definitely fighters
Also @Chincymcchilla the Gunstar One is the shit.
the firespray is a patrol craft

You could use any cowboy bebop episode title for a ship name!
... Maybe not Toys in the Attic.
My Boyfriend's Back
She's All That
Heathers
It is what popped into my head trying to come up with a CoolGames Inc suggestion today and I am going to reference it every day for a week now

Shines the name...
i guess the extended implication here is that your character in no man's sky is just leaving a trail of poos around the universe
so let's hope that PC version isn't out on Friday
I definitely am
I don't see any indication that the PC release has been moved back up. Still Aug 12 on their site.
That was a week ago and Steam still says the 9th
I don't think it was ever pushed to begin with
I'm sure thousands of people have
Just seems like a good way to take a day off for nothing
The official site says Aug 12 in About.
The official site says August 12th worldwide
It changed to the 12th on Steam for other countries and didn't in the US

Pre-ordered it on PSN instead
