Replacing a PSP battery

mRahmanimRahmani DetroitRegistered User regular
I picked up a used PSP-3000 for cheap ish, but discovered the battery was bloated to the point where the plastic shell was cracking. Needless to say, I didn't think trying to cram it under the battery cover was a good idea. I've been looking around online for replacements, but the Sony battery seems to be discontinued, and all of the 3rd party batteries get awful reviews.

Any suggestions on finding a decent battery? Any third party brands selling a decent quality one?

I have no personal experience with PSP replacement batteries, but usually when I need something like that I turn to dx.com and from the user reviews I see their PSP batteries get I think you may have luck there. At the very least they sell them for next to nothing, provided they don't blow up you risk little.
