System updates sometimes wipe out previous settings and return them to default values. This is normal.
Edit: But seriously, I've been in all of one relationship in my life, and it was very brief. You might be fit for one, but your level of relationship experience will almost certainly clash with someone who has more experience than you. The key is to not get stressed out when that happens and remember that just because someone is freshly out of the tutorial it doesn't mean that the person on level 3 is a better player than them, it just means they're farther along due to an earlier start.
If it helps, I felt pretty similarly to this before I accidentally agreed to my first date. And my reasons, while very real for me at the time, also sound stupid when I try to explain them.
