DC metro forumers! My partner grew up in the area, but I'm new to it. We're hopefully going to close on a house and move in December.

I personally suspect it's because they get field trips so they know they're guaranteed to make a mint if they jack up prices

all it means to me is that my kids will never get to see it because $105 for us to get in is way the hell too much

Before Saturday I would be with you on that, but NoMa through Fort Totten closed until the 22? Red was in a dire state before closing access to the east half of the line, and Green doesn't seem built to handle that load

It looks like this.

I used to live near it a bunch of years ago, just inside the beltway in a neighborhood off Braddock.
Just moved back to DC after living in Rhode Island for 4 years, I live in the Navy Yard/Stadium area.

I haven't been to the 9:30 yet, but I was at the Birchmere in Alexandria for Dweezil Zappa last night, and a month and a half ago I was at the Fillmore for Devin Townsend and both those venues are excellent. I'm planning on going to the Fillmore on Sunday night for Meshuggah.

I've got the bar in my basement about a third of the way civilized and we have plans for the entertainment room, we'd definitely be up for hosting modest hangouts once more of that work is done.

Red line closed past Fort Totten is fine with me, I only need it 'til then. Metro is still balls though.
