    Since when did one year become eight? and Episode 2 is apparently about 7-8 hours long. Which is about the point I get bored of most games anyway. Episode 1 ruled. I disagree. Plus your from Perth. Booooo.

    I knew portal was going to be cool, but FUCK that's impressive.



    Prey turned out to be a complete lie; all the portals in that game were preplanned. Portal will be everything Prey should have been.

    it'll give you enough story to be interested in reaching the end, but nothing as deep as HL1 or 2

    way i see it
    half life has some half told confusing story that leaves you confused and hopefully still playing in the hopes that they will answer some stuff but they never will

    and with episodic releases they can include a whole bunch of cliffhangers to make sure people keep coming back

    so it is basically like playing Lost

    I don't think you can really half tell portaling in a bunch of aliens from planet X.

    if anything it's more revolved around plot twists

    HL2 Ep2 will be good, but it's actually the game I'm least looking forward to out of the three. Portal looks awesome but it will probably be a short-ish puzzle game that you just play once. Team Fortress 2 is going to be shit-hot.

    Every new area was some new gravity gun puzzle game. That shit got old fast.
    And god damn it grenade zombies in a dark maze looking for the power to the elevator? Yeah no.

    man portals is going to be so so so fucking awesome. I am so goddamned excited about it.

    I really want to see what the modding community does with the whole idea. A team fortress setup using the Portal Gun would be soooo sweet.

    And yeah, TF2 looks so goddamned amazing.

    TF2 does look pretty awesome but I played so much TFC that some of the changes made send me into angry-fanboy mode a bit. I mean...they took out every grenade that wasn't the demoman's grenade launcher, as far as I can tell. So none of the awesome grenades the other classes had that did cool stuff- no concs, no ...spinny grenades that shoot bullets, and no hallucinatory gas grenades.

    I loved gas grenades.
