I think WWE would try and pair Revival up with Flair. Not saying it's a good idea but I could see them wanting to justify the money they're paying him.
Allegedly Mania 34 is going to be in New Orleans next year.
hmm only a 4 1/2-5 hour drive for me...I might consider going, but hell if they couldn't convince me to go to Dallas, what chance is there i'd go to New Oreleans...plus I don't think I wanna get the disappointment of going to a shitty Mania like the people at 32 received.

I say pair them with Arn Anderson and call it a day. Dawson already looks like he can be the son of Arn, plus Arn has the tag history behind him
The spectacle was neat, but I paid because I wanted to see some dope wrestling matches and I was severely let down

The card was great!
But Dean vs. Brock (my most anticipated match) was fuckin' dull as dishwater, New Day vs. LoN was boring and featured a ton of old dudes I don't really care about beating up dudes I do, the main event was such a slog we actually left a bit early and Shane vs. Undertaker was one moment that took like 30 minutes to set up.
The Women's Triple Threat and the IC Ladder Match were the only times I actually liked the show and the Triple Threat was undercut by the finish that I hated.
So, like, I'm definitely not saying your experience is any less accurate than mine. I'm glad you enjoyed your time! But as someone on a limited budget who spent like 200something dollars on tickets I was pretty goddamn disappointed and upset.

I guess for me, I didn't go to Wrestlemania for match quality. Mania has always been dodgy when it comes to that. I went for the spectacle.
There's something intangible and special about it to me.
Like I don't care that Shane vs Taker wasn't a "good" match because being there for Taker's entrance and Shane's dive and the shit like that is what I went to Mania for. I don't care that Charlotte winning was the wrong call, because I got to be there for what was a special and historic moment for women's wrestling. I loved being in a crowd of nearly 100000 while we booed the shit out of Roman, and put up the fireflies for Bray, and saw AJ be at his first Mania, and witnessed Ryder get his big moment, and so on, and so on.
And I already got my workrate fill from the other great shows that happened that weekend.

Glad I don't feel that way, cause the trip cost me a good three grand.
...I'm still paying it off.
Yikes.....It's a thing like that which makes me just want to wait it out until Mania decides it wants to come back to Houston so that all I have to do is just buy the ticket and then make the 25min drive to NRG Stadium. As for the
spectacle vs workrate debate, I feel that being there live would negate some of the workrate as going to live shows before has shown me, but with big storylines playing out in a bad way, plus having to watch over 7 hrs of it (hell
watching it on the network live was even a grind) You'd bet I'd get grumpy and sick of it by the time Roman and HHH went on.
I really enjoyed being at Mania without liking most of the matches. It all kind of rolls into a great weekend though. NXT, Axxess, Hall of Fame ceremony, mania itself and I flew to Houston the next day to see the NCAA Championship game. So my opinion trends toward the better because of association maybe

I wouldn't be surprised if they pair them with both Ric and Arn.
However Arn used to have a drinking problem and I doubt going back on the road with a Ric would help that.
Huh. Revival's pretty obvious, but I kind of figured Tye would go directly from "NXT performer" to "NXT trainer". Maybe the "TEN" chants infecting the main roster crowds put him over the top.

called up solely to be number ten in the rumble
Yes yes please this.

Why wouldn't they bring Tye up? He has an easy to follow gimmick that will shift tonnes of merch.

I think the Revival will do just fine on their own.
They're like the Kevin Owens of tag teams, in that they manage to be great in the ring and heels, except even Kevin Owens gets cheered despite his massive effort to counteract that. They're like Kevin Owens, only better at it.
Tye, in his current incarnation, is easily a US/IC level guy or 1/2 of a tag team going after the titles on either show.
He's a good hand in the ring, he can talk and his gimmick is an easy crowd-pleaser.
I don't believe he'll ever be one of the best on the roster, but I also didn't believe that about Corbin or Miz a while back. Given some time on the main roster, you never know where someone might end up.

Well I'm trying to put together my usual yearly recap OP but it might be too long. It's hard to tell because instead of slowly working on it at the end of every month like I wanted to I spent 2016 trying to stop fascism through reasoned debate, which it turns out is just a form of procrastination now.

there's a feud with the Miz waiting

Being there in that massive crowd, the sights and the sounds, the absolute grandeur of it all. It was amazing and wonderful.
Not to mention I also took the opportunity to see Raw, Shimmer, ROH, and Evolve.

And I just stole all the easy WWE noms, so now you all have to work harder! Bwahahahahaha!

Finally, a chance for Jim Smallman to shine!
"Heath Slater: He Has Kids & Needs This Job" or "Bobby Roode's Glorious Entrance Theme" for instance
I put it in for "Best Wrestling Show (PPV or Otherwise)"

By duo I mean Revival.

Yeah, and he literally never has to win anyway, people will love him.
It's a debate style show. And one of the topics looks to be the issues of Raw being 3 hours every week. Hmm.
He's a good hand in the ring, he can talk and his gimmick is an easy crowd-pleaser.

Very interested in that bottom topic.
Really hope it's not about Ric still having sex.
Flair's big double entendre about fucking back in the day was inviting women to "ride Space Mountain".
