Like I don't want a hedgehog, but I'd like to have a raccoon
It was barely a pet. It just hung around the yard all day, doing hedgehog things. I only fed it sometimes, to give it treats. Occasionally some kids would be over and ask about it, and I'd go to find and show them the hedgehog who'd instantly go into a ball because he didn't like that. Yep, that there's 'my' hedgehog.
That's basically all I want in an animal staying at my place.

I think the loser gets more of a stat boost and the winner gets more rewards

and I like thinking of how I'd make the freelancer ships again if I had a modern polycount limit of a bazillion rather than FL's thousands
I go back and forth on how much I'd change. Like, the freelancer ships have wings and fins and whatnot.
And I've really fallen in love with the idea of heat radiators on spaceships, and I can never agree with myself if I'd want freelancer ships redone with their wings and fins serving that function
I mean for, one, necessary, because getting rid of heat is a major obstacle in space
two, it's a reason for putting wings and fins and shit and making interesting shapes and silhouettes that isn't solely just for show but seem to actuall have a function, and I love functional form
three, mechwarrior heat management is fun and fucking cool and another thing that makes me feel like the pilot of complicated machines
four, the incandescent heat radiators growing brigther as the heat load from your weapons and your combat thrusters builds up, argh, just imagine it, it'd be fucking awesome. Also, a visual tangible way to show heat load that's not solely UI - very important to make something like that feel right
like, remember ME1's guns? Overheating was just a meter, and then they stopped. There were no other ways to feel it so it felt clunky and kind of annoying. While halo's plasma rifle, there's a meter, there's also the cool minor detail of the gun itself having that same display along the side, but more importantly, as the gun heated up the sound of the shots changed, panels slowly opened, I think the firerate also changed a little, in every bit you feel that there is a meter being filled. And then it overheats and all the panels flip open and it goes PSSHHHHHHT and master chief shakes it.
That with spaceships would be awesome.
but freelancer with a heat mechanic added would be a different game
but then again awesome

Is there a newer version of Skies of Arcadia then GC? I still prefer the dreamcast release but that one was totally okay. Also there's probably a decent amount of people who want Smash Bros Melee.

You could get just Metroid Prime, Monkey Ball games, Pikmin, Viewtiful Joe, Mario Sunshine, maybe even the version of Metal Gear Solid they put out for it.

Hedgehogs are LOUD. Way louder than I expected. They snuffle and snore much louder than a critter that tiny should be able to.
Right now we're babysitting a bunch of rescued hedgehogs too small to survive hibernation. This involves taking them into the shelter, keeping them cozy, feeding them up and basically giving them a winter in the lap of luxury until we set them loose in a park big enough to provide them with the food they need (lots) while they presumably spend the rest of their lives wondering what the hell they did to get kicked out of that five star hotel they were staying at.
