[PS3 ON] Ninja Gaiden Sigma - Post thine high scores
Without warning, like the shadowy figures known only through whispers in the night, Ninja Gaiden Sigma has made its presence known on the PlayStation Store.
Ninja Gaiden Shig-a-ma is out and it seems like this would be a great place to post some high scores.
Got a PS3? Got Sigma? Send me a PM and we'll do it up.
and everyone said the demo wouldn't be out on the PSN in US today.
Also as you beat the demo supposedly more difficulties come available and there seems to be a Rachel segment in it too although I haven't gotten to it yet.
You also get the fire ninpo, and have a decent amount of health (so its a little easier than the actual game).
Beating the level unlocks harder difficulty (I'm on very hard now) and a special mission that lets you play as Rachel.
Impressions: Love the new weapon, and Rachel provides a nice change in play style. The graphics look amazing but I haven't had a chance to try it out in HD yet. I'm definitely picking this up when it comes out (even though I already have NG and NG:B).
Gamespot is reporting the Sigma demo is now available on the US Store, but that it is getting hammered and takes a long time to download. I'm excited!!!

The game looks amazing. The textures are gorgeous up close and the new effects in the background are really eye catching. The new weapons are fun as well, they're not just a fresh coat of paint on the old ones.
Sold. Not much to add to Smacky's post. Beautiful game, controls and plays just like I remember. Also my TV thanks Team Ninja for the 1080p support. I thought it was going to be 720p only.
It's almost sick how excited I'm getting for a (prettier) retread game that I've played and beaten so many times.
But damn it all if NG doesn't get me everytime. I'm saying it right now - the day this game comes out, I'm going to buy a PS3. I have the money, I've just been waiting. This'll be what pushes me over the edge.
Make sure you watch the little scene that plays after you let the title screen idle for a while. It's amazing that all of that action is from gameplay. The fire dragon looks nothing short of breathtaking and fighting the motorcycle guys is going to be a blast.
My apologies for giving anyone the impression I had cancer. It's a serious disease and I didn't mean to make light of it. Thanks again to everyone who's taking part in the Folding@Home Teams.
I wasn't aware that anything had been announced for the 360 re: Ninja Gaiden, but I have to say I'm impressed with what we've got on the PS3. This is a game I'll buy without question and I'll weep as it kicks my ass.

Sigma is yet another (albeit beautiful) retelling of the same Ninja Gaiden we got two versions of on the original xbox. Itagaki has been very clear on the fact that he let one of his team handle the PS3 version/port, while he focuses on the 360 successor personally.
Ninja Gaiden 2 is being made for the 360.

Let's play Mario Kart or something...

Do we still get to play as Rachael.

What, in Ninja Gaiden 2? Well aside from him announcing the title, nothing else whatsoever has been said about it. So regarding any gameplay features or characters, nobody but Team Ninja knows.

oh, fucking sweet. I thought this was a sequel.
I never did get the unlaboured flawlessness in NG, I should boot that fucker back up.
I've never played NG before (well, on the Atari Lynx), so what's the idea? I block, let an enemy hit me and then mash square and triangle. It works, but I have a feeling I'm 'doing it wrong'.
The Sigma demo is pretty awesome. I never really "got" this game when I played the Xbox version, but now coming back to it with fresh eyes it's finally starting to click.
Krl: I think the way to not "do it wrong" is to experiment with the fighting engine until you find a play style that suits you. Maybe check out some youtube vids of people playing the game, there's some insane stuff out there.
I think I'm going to have to go pick up a copy of NG:Black to tide me over until Sigma, which I am actually thinking of pre-ordering.

the gameplay at the normal levels basically revolves around pulling off button-sequence combos and blocking/dodging/etc. enemy attacks

Also, man I wish I had a ps3 so I could get me some Ninja Gaiden. I've been trying to track down a copy of NG: Black but they're impossible to find.
According to evilavatar we are getting calling all cars today too. O_o :?:

Oh, god.
Oh, oh no.
Oh man.
Can I borrow some money? Or a PS3?
DOH!
To get it, you'll need to create a Japanese account for the Playstation Network, you can do that by following the directions here:
http://www.freewebs.com/buggie66/index.html
After doing that just sign-in with your japanese account and download the demo.
Features include:
The demo includes the first level from ninja gaiden.
Weapons include:
level 3 Dragon Sword
Nunchaku
level 2 Dabilahro
level 3 Lunar
level 3 Dragon's Claw & Tiger's Fang (double swords)

EDIT: 4 minutes later I'm 26%.

Werd.
Also, who the fuck at Sony decided it was a good idea to put up this compressed, SD piece of poo that is also known as the trailer for this game?

I think I'm waaaaay down there. I am barely passable at this game, but I love every minute of it.

EDIT: Bleh I'm only 199 on the Rachel mission.

360 is getting a true sequel i believe.

i wouldn't be surprised if sigma gets ported to the 360
