Chad is supposed to be a team character. He is bad by himself but excels in groups. While everybody else fortifies the house and distracts Jason, he's searching for good items. In a pinch, 3 strength is enough to stun Jason in a couple of hits, especially when other teammates are also hitting him.
I know that Luck is supposed to give you an increased chance to not take damage when going through broken windows. So maybe he's better at getting out of cabins that Jason has him trapped in?

Grr, managed to get in to a game last night (first attempt crashed when Jason came walking in to camp?) and then it disconnected about 3 minutes before the end. Still, was fun up to that point, other than having to mute almost everyone on mic. It's the first game I've had where the voice chat was toxic (guessing I'm lucky!).
99% of players I've heard on voice have been surprisingly decent and just want to have fun. The worst it gets is the occasional 10 year old or "wacky guy" who decides that he's hilarious and is never going to shut up.
I had a guy like that last night. Got a radio and just would not stop being annoying over it while Jason was (mercifully) trying to kill him. Finally I said, as politely as possible, "Can we keep comm chatter to a minimum please?" And he replied, "Oh we got a tryhard here."
I made sure to keep Jason updated on his location from then on.
That said, I had two of the most fun counsellor games I've had. A friend and I set up a party and joined the same games.
The first one another guy had a mic and the three of us met up and started trying to get one of the cars started together. Jason jumped in and managed to slaughter me as Chad. Fortunately before this I'd managed to get on the radio and call for help, so I came running in as Tommy.
Arrived just in time to see Jason kill my friend and so ran off with random guy with mic. We managed to get the car going and I jumped in. Jason turned up and grabbed the guy, I was ready to shoot but he had a knife. The game somehow glitched though and the guy got stuck in the driving animation despite being out of the car. It wouldn't let him or me back in it! Jason went after him but I knocked him down with the gun and we ran off to see if the game would let him exit because he was running around looking like he was driving an invisible car. It did not. He found us and killed us. Fun though!
Second game only my friend and I had mics but four of us still managed to team up and through one side conversation (I saw a guy with the battery and said to follow me to the car and that I'd keep an eye on him, then shouted to the guy carrying gas that the battery was in and I had the key and to follow me to the car) we managed to get the car up and running. I didn't trust myself with knowing the roads to get out (none of us had a map) so I tossed the keys on the floor and just said "any volunteers to be the driver?"
My friend picked them up, set off and (with a lucky dodge of a morphing Jason) we escaped!
Of course Jason quit rather than chase down the two remaining people, presumably because he was sulking. Still awesome.
- Fixed cause of some random mid-game freeze crashes.
- Fixed a memory leak for dedicated servers.
- Forbidding Hunter (Tommy Jarvis) counselor selections.
- Fixed an exploit with crouching back into objects.
- Fixed some achievements not unlocking when playing on dedicated servers.
This should end the Packanack Lodge roof glitch, various map escapes that have been found and you should see far less crashing now that we've localized the major memory leak issues. These updates will be happening for consoles relatively soon, but this should help with those that are getting connection issues.
That doesn't actually bring anyone up, by the way. dropping the 31 brings a list up. I took a stab in the dark and assumed the guy with ten mutual friends and two common groups was you.
I started a match, all alone and far from campers. Installed a battery in the two seater car. Eventually found other survivors. Two of them managed to finish getting the car working and drove off. Whatever, I guess I'll die. I run around for another minute, crest a hill and see that same car pass me in reverse and the driver shouts "DUDE GET OUT OF THE ROAD" Jason walks past me following the car.
So I run up to Jason and start swinging, he turns and starts choking me. I hear a voice, receding in to the distance "THANKS FOR THE DISTRACTION."
Jump to spectator. The car is wedged between two trees.
So the best strategy with the car is actually to only have the driver slowly move it forward while the other 3 jog alongside and escort it. Have them stun Jason when he shows up, THEN get in and book it.
Am I doing something wrong? I just got the game a few days ago, but have yet to find a game to play when I turn it on. Is there something that prevents me from being dropped into random games, or have I just picked bad times to try and play?
you take as many down as you could before getting killed?
I was Part 2 Jason (bag head). Couple things were weird.
1. Tommy spawns before I kill anyone. The hell???
2. My mask is gone after only 2 stuns.
I had everyone killed except the last two. I saw them way off in the distance together in the middle of the woods. I morph to them, land right on top of Deborah and Tommy. Before I can do anything I'm instantly stunned. Figured it was a weapon then I hear Deborah going into the "It's mother" speech.
"Uh oh..."
Punch to the gut, Tommy machete to my face
Does rage mode make everyone instantly glow red during Jason's sense, regardless of fear or distance? Every single counselor was outlined red no matter the distance or their composure. Or was it my mask being knocked off?
new map, new Jason, new counselor who looks ridiculously good
New Playable Counselor: Mitch Floyd
Level 24 Requirement
9/10 Composure
2/10 Luck
8/10 Repair
3/10 Speed
4/10 Stamina
6/10 Stealth
3/10 Strength
I can't really imagine playing any of the other repair-based counselors. Jenny was never useful to begin with and now she's just obsolete. Why play a 10/10 composure character who's not good at anything else when you can play a 9/10 composure character who's also great at repair?

Good evening Xbox Campers. Anyone want to drink beer and desire premarital sex as we appreciate Chad and his thong?
Seriously...anyone want to get a lobby going and have some camp mayhem?

Offline mode is excellent for anyone who feels their Jason skills are lacking. I never got much time as 'ol hockey puss, so its been a welcome addition for me. My shift grab game is much improved.
Also, the virtual cabin holds many secrets and challenges.

I would like for them to allow for bots in smaller matches so you didnt need to fill your group with pubs if you didnt want to.
PLayed a fair bit last night, got a couple of levels and worked on my Jason game, the bots are fun but ooooh dumb. even on Hard. I did get one trying to drive off after she fixed the car. Would have too if I hadnt looked at my map and saw a car moving. Havent had one escape yet.
I tend to lock down the phone with traps and then move on hunt those going for car bits. I assume bots will get better as patches come out.

I actually had one offline match where three counselors escaped in the car. Damnedest thing.

(actually I guess it would depend how big a bonus Luck gives to your other stats. Anyone have any idea on that?)
And a 1 composure!

(another tip said that "Chad is a total momma's boy (although he'd never admit it).")
