Those new uniforms are pretty spiffy though. I also really like the idea that they didn't even need to order them, someone just had these uniforms lying around just in case they broke ties with Earth.
"In case of high treason, break glass."
Why I fear the ocean.
You would know what it is without googling had you read the Sandman comic.
On topic - Young Pope is really giving me a contender for the most despicable character on TV. I think all the people who only saw the memes and expect some sort of satire with Jude Law as a hip Pope bickering with stuffy Vatican priests are going to get a nasty surprise.
I might recommend this Chrome extension as a protection against similar situations in the future
(still probably not dipping into the other CW DC shows tho, I've seen just enough to be reasonably certain they're not my thing)
I guess I'm gonna watch it now.
Finger placement is one of the most important parts of magic in that world.
"human for a day" is going to be near impossible for any tv show to top as perfect superhero media for me
it's so good
the scene where she talks down the robbers is pretty much a perfect superhero scene
and just...the silent cut to her hand shaking as she's talking is a really effective touch
C'mon Picard, you can't need the money, wtf is this!
Does the show address that at all?

i think it's the little smile she gives a the end, that little "i'm proud of you" moment, that just gets me the most
combine that with cat's speech and it's just
like, i am not an optimistic person, but damn does that moment make me feel good about people
Melissa Benoist is REALLY good at selling that part of the show, like...she's like weaponized optimism and charm
It's a shame only one of them ever got a good writer(s) involved in their role
Satans..... hints.....
That show is so odd. I still cant tell if I like it or not
I would disagree that it's that bad or really misogynistic, but I do think the show does a better job of showing the female characters' points of view.
I saw the first season a couple years back when it was free for a day and really liked it for the most part
how do you feel about white people
It's important to remember that it's a TV show written by cisgender writers based around a trans woman character played by a cisgender man.
So while it might be technically "good", that's a pretty blatantly shaky foundation to start with.

I'm glad that it exists because it's definitely a landmark show, but I had to stop watching it after first season because I think 90% of characters are unlikable.
I think you know how I feel about white people.
Haven't seen the episode yet, but

Also, I have no interest in watching Supergirl as I'm only a little interested in comic book media in general, but I just realized we're going to have to give it a shot. My oldest daughter (almost 4) keeps talking about how she wants to watch Superman after we had on Batman vs. Superman (didn't even make it through the whole thing, man that movie is bad), so if Supergirl is actually decent maybe she will like that.
That's the kind of show this is.
