[Nintendo] Star Fox Adventures was very good

I guess droppin to 720p is a pretty big performance boost even with the lower power.
Stream: Dragon Quest X and XI for Switch...
Me: Wooooooooo!
Stream: ... in Japan
Me: You fucking dick!
Really hoping they get localized or that the Japanese versions have English text options and are not region locked.

Switch has no region locking.
PSN: Bizazedo
CFN: Bizazedo (I don't think I suck, add me).
The way it was worded in the presentation, I got the impression that publishers can region lock their games if they want to.
Man Bowser you look dapper as fuck... wanna get coffee sometime?
If nothing else, you get the charging grip and an extra pair of joycons and you have an extra controller. For $110.
Or 4 controllers for joycon controller games.
Apparently the joycons take 3 1/2 hours to charge, but last for 20 hours at that point. I'm not sure there's a ton of use for a charge grip with those numbers.
EDIT: Though now that I think of it, if you have four joycons then I guess it could serve as a charging station that doubles as a second controller.
The way he said the system had no region locking by default, makes me a little wary that devs could opt to region lock the games, but that is just a concern and nothing more. So I am hopeful, but still if the games aren't locked and they did English localization, why specify they are coming for Japan when they didn't do that for any other game on the stream.

If anything, the charging dock seems more useful as you could just switch out the joycons if they get low for the other set.
aaaaaaaand now I'll probably buy Arms
My guess as far as DQ10 - it isn't available over here since it's an MMO.
I seriously doubt that the reason for the others is because they're region locking it to Japan. More likely they're hedging bets on if they're gonna do a North American marketing push.

From the section for the Pro Controller: "Take your game sessions up a notch with the Pro Controller. Includes motion controls, HD rumble, built-in amiibo functionality, and more."
Could still need motion for moving...

The grip that is in the box doesn't charge.
You get two joycons plus the straps/button bumper thing, and what seems to be a comfort grip that does not charge the joycons.
If that is try then the joycons must be docked to the Switch tablet to charge.
There is for sure a separate comfort grip that also charges the joycons and has a power cord.
THANK YOU! Got it.
Now I can cancel Best Buy's since Amazon gives that Prime discount and won't charge until it ships.
Did this get confirmed somewhere?
No but I feel like the $70 price tag on the new controller confirms it well enough
so....how do you charge the joycons?
You plug them into the tablet.
attach them to the screen
dock the screen
Plug them into the tablet.
ah okay

I'm just talking about the monthly game thing. I'd much rather rent any game I wanted from a list then get a choice of five games I'm not interested in.
For me personally it comes down to the long game. Assuming the same price for Nintendo's service as PS+/Live Gold, if after a year I've been given even 3 games I like I have them and could play all three in the same day with PS+/Live Gold. With Nintendo's plan after a year I can still only play 1 game for the entire month. I'd personally rather have a library that is building up than 1 free month long rental of my choice.
