    I love that the bird didn't learn to say "nevermore". It learned "say nevermore".

    Which I guarantee you is how they think humans greet birds.

    There is a legend that if a crow commits a crime, a court of crows will gather in a circle around the bad crow and they will caw and speak to each other and sometimes it will be let off and other times they will fly down and peck the crow to death, but it's probably super not true because come on, crows don't have laws

    I could have sworn I saw a story about a crow that learned to water ski but I couldn't find it when I searched for it but I did find this picture, which is still pretty good.

    A bunch of """scientists""" had a guy put on a Dick Cheney mask and fuck with some crows, and the crows learned to hate and fear the mask, and would attack anybody wearing it

    Why they didn't follow this up by inviting Dick Cheney to give an outdoor speech is the real mystery though

    Couple of days ago, some homeless dude was out on the sidewalk at work throwing unshelled peanuts out on the ground. The pigeons would come, peck at them, awkwardly pick them up in their beaks, and fly off. After that happened a couple of times, he threw another handful out, and roughly ten crows flew in, landing on the old unused power cables for when the bus system used to run down this street. The guy was walking away from where he tossed the peanuts on the ground, one crow went down and looked at a peanut, backed away from it, and the rest of them on the cables were all staring at the guy walking away. They didn't touch the peanuts and eventually flew off.

    I like to think they were pissed that he was throwing out inaccessible food.
