So far removed from it all, now, my time spent here feels almost like a fever dream

It's really weird that a group of people used to know me and refer to me as swordfights, by my own doing

I hope you guys are doing decently and that this isn't like super bad timing cuz I haven't read any other posts

I just thought of you guys out of the blue and wanted to say hello

I hope you have a nice day

    Hello, my dear friend Veldrin.

2016 ended pretty rough, but so far 2017 is showing a lot of promise. I'm pretty happy in life right at this moment.

I am doing better all the time and I hope you're doing excellently, too.

It is now bed time but I'll pop in tomorrow probably.

I hope you all enjoy all of your respective days and nights

No, witches are the art kids of magic.

Wizards are the nerds of magic.

It's going well! Surprised I'm loving a Masters course this much, it does help that I'm only doing it part-time so I'm not gonna burn out as much. I got a few hi-5's from a teenager I tutored the other day during my placement so I feel like I'm on the right path.

Something that I grew out of, mind. Space Marines alone are so limiting! There's lots of other things you can achieve crushing tactical victories with.

If I am to be critical of my degree, it's that is never really covers what it is like to engage kids that don't want to be there. Engaging lazy kids is possible. Its about keeping kids who are just dully defiant.

when I was growing up, nerd was an appellation screamed at you by the popular jocks. goth nature hippies absolutely would have been nerded and beaten up.

@SOLAR, WHAT IS BEST IN LIFE?

Charging a squad of Blood Angel Assault Terminators with an attached Chaplain out of a Land Raider into your opponent's prized Chaos Marine Chosen squad, foolishly left in the open, and killing them all before they can even strike back.

Crushed, driven before, and even his girlfriend was sad for him. Glorious and savage victory! Behold, o bloody eagle of valour! Behold, o wrathful Gods of war!

    oh boy oh boy!

we USED to have 2 cent coins!

    w5u5s4hdu3z7.jpg
    ddud3w1r7xdm.png

I wish we still did! Though I will say that the US Shield design for the penny is outstanding!

we also had 3 cent coins that were silver (well, 70% silver to discourage melting)

here is one I dug up at a former civil war R&R camp next to a dime for reference!

    tc1u9f3wwf9v.jpg
    o0yiwt1042n0.jpg

why three cents? Because that was the price of a postage stamp at the time! They were affectionately called 'fish scales'

also (for fun and because the conversation rarely veers towards the tuppence), here is an 1678 Charles II Tuppence I dug at an old residence in Maryland!

Technically we just eliminated the production of the penny, any pennies still in circulation are still legal tender and it's just when people spend them, they're sent back to the mint to be destroyed.

I would prefer if we eliminated the 5 cent coin as well tbh.
