    When one fan asked if the new show would ever bring back any other classic Disney Afternoon characters like Darkwing Duck, Angones provided this appropriately shadowy response: “Are you referring to the terror that flaps in the night? [pause] I have never heard of this character. Next question.” Suffice to say, things could get dangerous pretty soon on DuckTales.

    Pretty thin, but I do hope DW and St. Canard make it into later seasons.

    Launchpad (and Gizmoduck) was part of DW's cast, and referenced having worked for Scrooge, so it wouldn't be too hard to incorporate him for an episode.

    So the pilot/first two episodes were up on Youtube and I saw them. Won't go into spoilers (is that going to be a thing for this?) but, it was pretty damn entertaining. Did a good job of establishing this new take on each character, the humor was fairly benign but pleasant enough.

    The problem with them sharing his voice thing is they all sound alike and become a hivemind. Its funny for shorts but not long term character development

    There was only one point when Huey actually sounded like Danny Pudi to me. The rest of the time the three did a good job of sounding distinct but also like triplets.

    Not only did they reference the city of St. Canard in the pilot but Cape Suzette as well.

    Could this mean we might see characters from Talespin showing up at some point in the series? I hope so!

    I like these new versions of the characters. I'm a little confused about
    why they decided Scrooge wasn't aware that Launchpad is a pilot
    but I'm sure it won't really come into play after the first episode.

    I think,
    It was just a gag necessitated by removing Duckworth as the Butler and rolling the driver roll into Launchpad.

    Steve Gerber has said he comes from an Anthro animal universe which is probably the Spider-ham one but its never made clear. Theres this one shot called Duckworld but its terrible

    So I watched the new Ducktales pilot yesterday and the themes been stuck in my head since then. Just now I was browsing SE++ and repeating the song to myself for the thousandth time. I got to the part "Might solve a mystery or rewrite history" and then read the thread title immediately after......and then I came here to post about it.
