i honestly cant stand the update, several important features are an extra button press than before, which is something I feel like should be the priority of a UI. And most of the other changes just move things around. The community page is a loud mess. A lot of the other stuff is just personal preferences, like I preferred larger pins.

Also what the hell is the bottom section? I cant figure it out. Also how it says "Pins" right next to the pins section, which opens Pins again in the guide. The whole thing just seems like change for change sake

Isn't the very bottom just pins? Or do you mean the bottom of the Guide button screen?

Yeah I used to enjoy looking through the screenshots and videos my friends and clubs put up

But now it's just a jumbled mess of shit and I hate it

Is there any way of customizing that, or is it stuck that way?

It would really suck if that got buried because of all the people who complained about the last major UI revision (that killed Kinect navigation, etc.) "forcing" those things to the front and center (and invariably putting other stuff behind another item panel).

I liked it. But then again, I also liked using the Kinect to navigate.

KOTOR could be cool if it actually works well

Playing that game on 360 was an absolute mess, the sound glitches made it unplayable for me personally

Hope Kotor is added to EA Access* like the rest of the BC titles were. It and its sequel (preferably the patched version that hit PC a few years back) were the hopes for oxbox BC.

*it was before EA bought Bioware, would they still be able to hold the license for it?

Fuck yes, Ninja Gaiden Black. Please let this be true.

My multiple-round saves on the Xbox 360 are corrupted (I just found out last night, testing them). This would be the perfect time to replay the game, even before any visual upgrade (as unlikely as it is).

Hopefully they fix the minor graphical distortions that were on the Xbox 360 (water transparency and sword-deflection transparency).

Masquerada: Songs and Shadows is shaping up to be a neat-albeit very linear-isometric view, tactical RPG game.

Now I get to play the "how much am I willing to pay for KOTOR, again" game.
The answer is probably whatever they're charging, who am I kidding.

I've had this new Dashboard blackscreening on me twice now in an hour just from trying to use this jumbled mess they call "Community", thanks for forcing this on me Microsoft.

I've never even seen this blackscreen thing before, seems like it was soft rebooting a section of the dashboard, namely the Community section both times.

I just want to have a truly (or at least partial) customizable dashboard for once, not this "you can set the outline color and the transparency of the tiles" walled garden stuff.

Figures it's Black and not regular Ninja Gaiden. (Never got Black)

There's a reason for that (other than all the extra challenges, bosses, content, etc.)

I think Microsoft, or possibly Tecmo and Team Ninja, lost the rights to keep distributing one of the classic Ninja Gaiden titles that came with the original release--maybe back to Nintendo. Black, which features all of the online content and a few extra things, has that cut. It's not available in Ninja Gaiden Sigma either, I'm fairly certain.

EDIT: They had to swap the NES version for the Arcade version. So I guess Nintendo-related.

Ninja Gaiden Black was the first game I ever played on an Xbox, was a little tough so I borrowed my brothers Xbox for a week to finish it.

Have they said if original Xbox games will have Achievements added in?

No, they're not modifying the original games; they're just emulating them.

No, they're not modifying the original games; they're just emulating them.

Technically, they're probably just booting up an oXbox inside a VM, like they do for the 360 BC.

I seem to recall some differences in the technical weeds around performance, etc, etc, but all the literature I can remember is in context of servers. From our POV they're probably close enough to be identical I guess. I think it's the difference between "Just running this app in an emulated context" vs "running the entire host machine for that app", but don't quote me.

Should be straight up emulating the last release of the game.

We’re patches a thing at that point?

I'm not saying it was, just that in getting these games working on newer hardware they may have to consult the devs and work on restoring the game's online features (Kotor had that DLC planet). I could see Bioware patching the games more stand-out issues.

God online Crimosn Skies is going to be so good

Especially now that decent broadband is more available. No more planes warping around when I try to shoot them thanks to shoddy DSL connections.

Shame there's no Achievements, KOTOR would be cool with them

I might pick up Sands of Time as well, I can do without the rest of that list

We'll actually be able to buy these games digitally, right? I'm not gonna have to go track down a KOTOR disc?

the above list was put together based on listings showing up on the marketplace. i can't imagine they'd do this and not make the games available digitally.

Mass Effect 2(and 3) are technically available digitally. also i was referring specifically to oXbox BC not BC in general. there's a bit of a difference between the games from last gen and games from over a decade ago that stopped being physically produced when that console cycle added.
