General boss spoilers and music

Goddamn Rivers in the Desert is a great boss theme. Even though it's not the final boss theme it ranks up there with Battle for Everyone's Souls and Fog/Genesis.

Persona is weird because the audience-surrogate nature of the protag makes the HS relationships weird, but the HS age of the protag makes the adult relationships weird.

As long as the series will have relationships, there's no great option, but at least having all the high school people be somewhat mature and not drawn like twelve year olds helps.

maybe he gets worse later on? but I feel like y'all rag on him unnecessarily... as someone who was a WICKED AWKWARD teenager, "ha ha you're not gonna cry about your dead mom right" reads less as him being an asshole intentionally and more like him not knowing how to be a person because he's 16 gotdamn years old

honestly I have liked all the awkward best bud characters - Yosuke, Junpei, and Ryugi - though Yosuke's whole gay panic bullshit is tiring and did not age well

Get Proficiency up and still make them until you actually have the Eternal Lockpick, because the materials to make it aren't easily farmed. Especially the 10 Liquid Mercury from Anubis enemies.
