I think at this point, I'm prepared to pay Blizzard to make it so that Widow and Hanzo are locked out when you're on offense.
I've only encountered two types of offense sniper players in the last two weeks; the ones who suck, and the ones who are decent, but you lose anyway because they provide zero utility when it comes to actually capturing the point/pushing the cart.

Mei does own but misusing her kit is just so destructive
So many walls where it's like, oh, great, good job mei, you've just given the enemy team cover to heal back up, thanks for that, now we're boned.
To say nothing of walling off teammates
Or simply never right clicking.
A trap is for fish: when you've got the fish, you can forget the trap. A snare is for rabbits: when you've got the rabbit, you can forget the snare. Words are for meaning: when you've got the meaning, you can forget the words.

no, they're better when whoever you're shooting at has a longer walk from spawn than you do

if I'm playing mercy, mei is always my absolute lowest heal priority, because the first time she gets pinged for any damage she's going to iceblock and wait for the enemy team to walk up and kill me

this is a good point but snipers are still better on offense than defense even if the walk is shorter for the enemy, if only because of the ability to control how you approach while you're on attack, rather than be beholden to how the attackers choose to approach when you're on defense

Yes. Snipers are offensive.

The schools go on summer holiday from this Saturday in the UK, so it'll be 6 weeks of screeching after that.

today I learned from Mystery Heroes that Genji killing DVa's mech with Swift Strike doesn't get him the cooldown reset, I assume because of the weird delay between dealing lethal damage to the mech and the mech actually dying (or does he also not get the reset when he Strikes a turret, and the mech counts as a turret rather than a hero?).
Anyway, this is just further proof that DVa is the best.
When do you folks tend to play? I could use some team queues instead of solo acts.
The group I'm usually in starts getting formed up around 10 or 11 pm EST at the earliest on weekdays. Though I've been on slightly less the past couple weeks as some other games are sneaking in.

Nailing a good scatter or a clutch headshot on the Mercy is pretty important in taking any ground.
Roadhog used to be the great initiator because he could turn a fight into 6v5 ez
Maybe last point Widow needs to play real well to be effective but a Hanzo still can do greatest work
But first point both are incredibly strong picks provided they can actually aim

Need some stuff designed or printed? I can help with that.

So I decided to stop being a weiner and play. Won my first 2 games and got Platinum!
Now to get back my PS4 high of 2924.

And finally @miscellaneousinsanity with a clutch Sound Barrier to keep everyone alive while antihealed and a boop that keeps Mei off the point.

It's probably going to be August, to sync up with the world athletic championships.
I was hoping they'd bring it forward, then slot something else in between Summer Games and Halloween, instead of having a 2 month gap again.
