Need help figuring this out. It's been repeating in my head for the past 30 minutes. It has to stop. The main instrument is a trumpet, like marching band type as I mentioned in the OP. It goes something like this. It's a high tempo song.
Ba dun dun dun, dun dun, bada dun dun dun dun da dadum
Ba dun dun dun, dun dun, bada dun dun dun dun da dadum
Ba dun- dun- dun (waah waah, do do do do do do do da da deet dun - single trumpet or sax?)
Ba dun- dun- dun (waah waah - single trumpe or sax?)
Ba dun dun dun dun dun dun *pause* Back to 1.
“I used to draw, hard to admit that I used to draw...”
Nah, it's got like a college football get the crowd going type of air to it, kind of "New Orleans" or something? Definitely not a military marching song.
All the college marching band stuff I could find on youtube were covers of popular songs so I stopped.
“I used to draw, hard to admit that I used to draw...”
Oh, it's definitely not Sing Sing Sing, but I do think the actual song may be a swing/jazz song, it's got a similar tempo/energy to it.
At 6:16 of the video that Darke posted has the high low high I tried to do in that thing, before they do all those really quick notes. Going to start poking through swing songs now instead of march beats.

It very vaguely reminds me of the Orange Bowl March with the repetitiousness, though it doesn't sound like the clip you sequenced.

I was in marching band for years and graduated with a Music Performance degree, but I hate to admit I don't recognize this at all. Do you think you could fiddle with the sequencer more to try to get something closer?
The USC Trojans fight song has a couple parts, one of the most recognizable ones (at 0:35) looks a bit like your opening post, but not the synth you made. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J55xnFE0Ibo
Does it sound something along those lines? Fight songs will sound sort of like that.

That's a mix on a big band jazz song. You probably want to figure out if is more a marching band type song or big band jazz though to narrow it down.
In any event, @Local H Jay - it's actually from "Too Good Too Bad" by the Seatbelts and Yoko Kanno (so Cowboy Bebop soundtrack), it recently played again on my shuffle and I recognized it. It probably played while I was driving somewhere in June and simply stuck around.
Thankfully, knowing the song means it has no hold over me anymore.

I think it might be Sunshine of your love by Cream if it's the same one that's been driving me nuts for ages. I just joined so it won't let me link but there are several bands playing this on Youtube.

Only had a few minutes and I don't really do music notations or synths but here:

I can't figure out how to get the pauses right. but it's the general idea. also couldn't find a trumpet so I had to use the trombone and french horn?
edit: that is a pretty neat site though.
