How to donate SNES Super Scope to PAX console room?

SirLamerSirLamer Registered User new member
I have a SNES super scope, as far as I know it works... but I can't use it because it requires a CRT. Also, the batteries have alkaline leaking and all that just as you'd expect. So, with a quick clean I think it would work.

Is it possible and/or useful to donate this to PAX? It MUST be played on a CRT screen, it will not work without CRT. Also, it's a little awkward to play sitting close to the screen like the pick-up play stations usually are.

Maybe you guys already have a Super Scope! I dunno.

I am attending PAX West and could bring it myself as well as the games I have for it, which is the mini game cartridge and Yoshi's Safari. There is no point unless a CRT screen is expected to be set up with SNES for the next few years and it can be reserved for use with the Super Scope as it will not function with an LCD screen.

The classic console room does have a super scope and they set it up with a CRT each time I've been in there. I'm not sure how you would go about doing this sort of donation. Generally public donations aren't used/accepted as far as I know, but for something obscure or relatively rare that might be different. You'd have to get in contact with the folks that run the classic console room directly somehow. I can poke around and try to find someone for you to talk to.

If it's a fuss then no worries, if they have a super scope then they probably don't want more, but if you hear otherwise just let me know.
