WR runs a good route and totally fools the DB and gets open, McSorley manages to get it just over the second level by about two inches. That's it.

If we can score 24 we'll beat them.

    Hahaha pretty decent play

Does anyone in the B1G have fun offense?

I mean, really Iowa fucked it up. You're supposed to drain the clock and kick the winning field goal. They scored a TD and jinxed themselves.

Purdue when they're not being suffocated by the third best defense in the country. PSU has Barkley, who basically counts by himself, unfortunately.

Except they'd already had one blocked. And PSU had a couple timeouts. I almost made a joke about PSU cannily allowed Iowa to score.

UCF won by a lot today and I am happy about that, but I am mildly embarrassed on how badly I ate it in the Pick 'Em today.

I was in first for all of a week; my tenure was short, yet powerful.

Watch Saquon Barkley. Way too often a player is labeled "A threat to score any time he touches the ball" and what they really mean is "If he has really good blocking or gets really open, he is fast enough to score."

Saquon Barkley is a threat to score any time he touches the ball.

Instantly regretting signing up to write the postgame this week. This game is UCLA in a nutshell.

I put aside bitter conference rivalry hate for a week and Houston does this.

Just goes to show that if you don't dunk on the other schools in your conference constantly, you're just setting yourself up for disappointment.

Yes, but it let me write the postgame, and I ended up writing this.

So basically this is all your fault.

Y'all, there are some upsides of being a college football fan on the west coast. Yes, I lament that my alma mater is perpetually doomed to 9:00 AM kickoffs here, but the upside is that #Pac12AfterDark is still at a pretty reasonable time for me, in that I can go out afterward, get some drinks, grab some tacos, and then get home with enough time before I need to pass out to put together the results for y'all.

    So without further ado:

I sympathize with that, I really do! 11:30 am last week seemed early for me.

Liking the upward trajectory of my last three weeks with the 5, 6, and then 7 points though. The comeback starts here!
    Maybe, probably not.

    Straight-Up
Texas A&M vs. Arkansas - Fuck this game. I pick the home team.
Texas Tech @ Houston - When was the last time TT didn't allow 40+? Feels like it's been Kingsbury's entire tenure.
Duke @ North Carolina - Neither. But fine, let's say UNC.
Mississippi State @ Georgia - CLANGA away from CLANGA Central is less scary. I will foolishly believe in Georgia until they inevitably end my pick 'em season.
    California-Los Angeles @ Stanford I guess?

    Against the Spread
North Carolina State @ Florida State (-11.5) - I think you could make a lot of money never trusting NC State, especially on the road.
Southern California (-16) @ California - Too many points for a team that has struggled two of three weeks and Western, Texas, and Stanford have all not impressed in their other games.
Michigan (-8) @ Purdue - Purdue cannot block our front. They've played well, but it's a little illusory so far, given the schedule and how Louisville really dominated them.
Pennsylvania State (-13.5) @ Iowa - Fuck Penn State. And also that's too many points in Iowa City. Weird shit happens in Iowa City.

    Game of the Week (ATS)
Texas Christian @ Oklahoma State (-11.5) - Only one of these terms has actually been impressive.

I hate all of these games, for the record.

I must have not hit submit? I swear I entered these.

    @ASimPerson

Should be good for 5 points

These picks really mostly prove I watch too much Big Ten football, because that stuff I had nailed and everywhere else is... yikes.

So apparently, Barkley might do a thing that has never been done at the FBS level before (from what I've heard, curious if that's true or not). He's currently on pace for around 1500 rushing yards, and just over 1000 receiving yards. Word is, no one has ever had a 1k/1k season before. Don't know if he'll be able to keep that pace up with Michigan and OSU still on the schedule, but on the other hand, we do get to play Michigan State, Maryland, Rutgers and Nebraska still (god our schedule is so horrendously soft this year). So maybe?

I honestly rarely even pay attention to sports anymore outside of the spectator sport of MLS expansion, and hockey. I mostly participate in these things for shits and giggles and my impressions of teams tend to be years out of date or based on hearsay. That being said usually that results in middle-of-the-pack, not stinking up the joint.

He currently leads the Big 10 for receiving yards

Yeah, I briefly searched the thread last night but couldn't find your post. At any rate, I've entered your picks.

This isn't the first time someone's had issues with the forms this year, but I'm not sure what's going on. Just make sure you post your picks in the thread as a backup for the time being.

With only in-conference play coming up, I'm not sure if that's going to make it better, or worse.

edit: It's weird that Miami has Louisiana but not Miami-Dade county, because of FIU.

One of my coworkers is an avid FIU fan. He's an international student, and he went there for grad school, so he comes by it honestly. But I think he's also trying really hard to fit in with American-ness so he decided to be a college football fan. And part of me wants to ask him why he didn't pick a team that's, you know ... good sometimes.

Well, they're currently in the Top 20 i the country, which I'd say is good.

(Also I grew up in Miami, which is also when they were Pretty Damn Good.)
