In all seriousness though, I just found out about this trading site. I signed up and already have a pending trade. It seems like a legit site, but all the same I am curious what my fellow PA'ers thoughts are. I searched the forum and nada so...
www.goozex.com (Not a ref link, but I might stick one in my sig later to replace "Lando's Field")
Checked with a mod so no "sitewhore!" comments please.
I mainly want to see if anyone else has had any success with the site, if not/or recommended sites before I send my copy of Marvel Ultimate Alliance off into the great unknown.
I've been using it for a month or two now. No huge complaints so far, although if you are really really picky about the condition of your used games, it's not a great system.
Minor gripes:
- I'm not huge on the idea of having two separate point systems. You can buy both trades and points with cash, so why not just have points and deduct a trade's worth of points when needed?
- Game values are sometimes a little out of whack (although the team has been getting better with this, and supposedly you'll be able to set custom prices soon if you don't like the going rate).
That about covers my input. Compared to Ebaying games you want to sell it's a lot easier and cheaper, in general.
from what I understand reading FAQs and such, they do not allow MMO for that reason exactly.
Plus if the game does not work, or the CD key is not included you get your points back.
i just signed up for a goozex account and it seems like a pretty decent site. ive had no shortage of people who want my old games (ive got a stack of like fifty dreamcast games and my dc died like two years ago), the system is much less of a hassle then selling them on ebay especially because it doesnt end up costing anything to list them even if nobody ends up wanting them right away, and the games end up being worth alot more pointwise (its a nickel a point) then if i traded them in. however i havent had much luck in finding games that i want on the site to spend my points on. and it seems like nobody saves the cases and manuals for their games as most games are available as disc only. maybe people do that to try and save a little money on postage or something but i hate having a game without the manual included so thats making it even harder for me to find game on there.
