A guy named Dave made a maze.

I don't remember what I said the last time we had the discussion of "have you ever walked out of a movie in theaters before", but I know in my heart I would have walked out of this

    holy shit

Jerry Lewis had some pretty horrendous things to say about refugees recently, what a note to go out on

I essentially have that movie memorized and will occasionally watch it with friends because of how bad it is.

I saw it by myself in theaters and then immediately called my friends because holy shit, that movie is something else. I ended up seeing it three times on the opening weekend and the entire audience was riffing on it every single time.

I'm watching inglorious basterds for the first time.
What I'm getting is that the basterds are sort of idiots and actively impede the real heroes plans.

The Happening might be the worst film I've ever watched all the way through. It feels like a film someone made as a joke.

My brain will not allow me to believe that the titular Dave, who made the maze, could be anyone but Zachary Knighton

The Happening is also a really ironic title because so much of the film is nothing happening. People literally stand and stare in frightened awe at NOTHING HAPPENING.

I know that Jerry Lewis was a great talent. I only saw him in The Nutty Professor. He's also renowned as pretty unpleasant and I don't like unpleasant people so I won't pretend I'm broken up that he died peacefully at an advanced age.

One of the worst people in the history of the United Kingdom was, before his death, primarily known for having raised a lot of money for charity. Good for him, raise money for charity. That's a good thing. It's not really a shield for being a shithead in the rest of your life.

An August 2015 article in the Los Angeles Times claims that a copy of the film is held by the Library of Congress, but will not be screened for "another ten years".[21] This donation was reportedly done by Lewis himself.[22]

This "10 year provision" would appear to be based solely on Lewis's request to hold back his contribution for ten years, but, as the underlying rights were never acquired by Lewis or the original financiers, the film cannot be screened, published, copied or shown in any form until and unless such rights are acquired.[citation needed]

On February 3, 2016, German public TV ARD aired a 2-hour documentary called Der Clown.[23] German film maker Eric Friedler shows interviews, original footage and re-staged scenes from the original scripts with some Swedish actors who participated in Lewis' movie. Finally, the film shows the first full interview with Lewis about his work after 43 years.

In June 2016, a half-hour compilation of footage from Der Clown was uploaded to YouTube and Vimeo by editor Kay Brown, and dubbed into German with English subtitles, marking the first time a version of The Day the Clown Cried was made available to the general public.[22][24]

They were a guerrilla unit that killed a ton of Nazis. That has to count for something.

Espionage was not their specialty. They were forced into it at the last second, and yeah they screwed it up.
