Weep, Ye Readers, for Walden[chat]

Waldenbooks was great. I bought my first AD&D book there. I sat in corners reading copies of fantasy I couldn't afford to buy.

I peeked at boobies on cover art in the romance section.

We don't really do this anymore as a society, but for a while it was pretty excellent.

Thank you Waldenbooks!

I once applied for a job at a Waldenbooks and they didn't call me back, but I did see a boob in the unwrapped sex guide book.

I bought a bunch of D&D books at a game/book store, the guy that owned it is an older disabled guy with a bunch of cats who's really nice

given how few customers and how much inventory he has I was wondering how he stays in business but apparently model train enthusiasts drop by and spend $collegetuition on sets

he has like 500,000 minis he buys at auctions and they're really cheap, if I had more money I'd buy piles of them

Received an email from my bank saying they were making a few changes for security's sake, etc. and that part of that meant sending out new debit cards for everyone

And I thought "Oh, man, I'd better make sure my address is up to date with the bank then, I've moved around a lot!"

Checked - I have my brother's address listed as my address.

    That'll work just fine.

The Lizard horde is progressing as the eclipse moves.

Remember, lizards don't feel concepts of "love" and "affection" like humans do. They are however capable of recognizing what can provide them with food and warm surfaces so a valid survival tactic to secure your worth in the new empire is to provide them with a heated blanket and the contents of your refrigerator and/or household pets.

Submarine murderer guy now claims the journalist had an accident and he buried her at sea.

There's nothing more believable than making 2 separate excuses and then two weeks into a body search "admitting" that it was an accident.
