Good things
Old Books - I've drastically reduced the number of books I own, and there's just a little bit of room on this bookshelf that I'd like to fill up with classy-looking books. I'm a huge fan of Isaac Asimov and he's written a billion books, so you're pretty safe there. A few years ago my santa got me Asimov's Guide to the Bible and Asimov's Guide to Shakespeare which was awesome. I do own most of his sci-fi already, so maybe stay away from that. Other than that, I'd really like a nice matching set of the d'Artagnan Romances (five book series starting with The Three Musketeers and ending with The Man in the Iron Mask) by Alexandre Dumas. Other than that, whatever you think looks cool!
Chess sets - I now have enough cool chess sets to consider it a "collection", so it's officially on the list. I have two important rules for collecting chess sets and they are very important. First, no plastic pieces. Wood, metal, stone, most other materials are fine, but not plastic. Second, and most important, the symbology must be instantly recognizable. In other words, I want to be able to actually play a game with the chess board without having to remind myself which pieces are which. Examples: pretty neat, but bad symbology ; my current favorite chess set I own
Knick-knacks - This used to be in the below section, but I have more shelf space now, so if you see something cool (but not hyper niche or nerdy), I'm down. My sister gave me this one year (a xenomorph from the Alien series made out of scrap metal), which is one of my favorite gifts ever. Bonus points if you make it!
Console games - I just got a Switch recently, so if there is something for it you think I'd really like, I'm down with this. I already own BotW, Mario Odyssey, and Puro Puro/Tetris (for some reason). Also if you're one of those crazy people who is going to buy someone a current-gen console, I have no interest in an XBox. PS4 would kick ass though. >.>
VR stuff - I have a Vive and I haven't bought anything for it in a long time. Any games you think look fun would be cool, and the Deluxe Audio Strap would be awesome. Here's my Steam profile: http://steamcommunity.com/id/visiblehowl/
Not-as-good things
Board games - I own a lot of board games and frankly don't have time to play them all. I'd say stay away from this category this year, unless you want to splurge and get me a copy of Cthulhu Wars. :P
Regular books - I do most of my reading on my tablet now and I don't have room for a ton of paperbacks anymore, so I'm really only looking for "display" books that fit the criteria listed above. I mean, I'm still going to read those books, they're not just for display, but yeah, no paperbacks unless they look really nice.
PC Games - I have way too much to play right now, so only do this if it's a fun weird niche game like Keep Talking And Nobody Explodes or something. Here's my Steam Profile again: http://steamcommunity.com/id/visiblehowl/
Posters - I'm really picky about what kind of posters I like, so it's probably best to avoid this one.
Clothing - I'm good on clothes, UNLESS it's something you made, like a scarf or a hat or something (it's cold in Chicago).
Feel free to completely ignore this list and surprise me with something, especially if it's something you made. Surprises are the best!
Edit: Also, I will be out of town from Dec 23rd to January 1st. It's fine if your gift arrives in that time, I just won't be able to open it until I get back.
Do... Re... Mi... So... Fa.... Do... Re.... Do...
Forget it...
When I got home there was a nice box waiting for me, but huh, I don't remember ordering anything...
Ooh, gift wrapping! I love gift wrapping! But from whoooo
Tcheldor you rascal, you. I've never considered secret turkey. Turkey is best prepared and enjoyed non-secretely, with friends and family.
But wait, what's this about updating my-

HOLY CRAP @TCHELDOR THANK YOU
I have so many lists to update
You are quite welcome sir. Enjoy the gift...that requires you to get more gifts to do anything? My avatar's kinda appropriate for that
FFXIV: Tchel Fay
Nintendo ID: Tortalius
Steam: Tortalius
Stream: twitch.tv/tortalius
Order placed! Feein’ festive!
Celeste [Switch] - She'll be wrestling with inner demons when she comes...
Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age [Switch] - Sit down and watch our game play itself
Comic Books - I'd love a collection of Fables in a trade. I also loved the Avengers vs X-Men Marvel event, so having that in trade form would be cool.
Food - I'm a big fan of food. I believe that my stomach should travel the world, will you help it travel to your home and eat a cool thing that only you people have? This is also true of beverages. Is there something weird you drink that I should be able to brag about having had? I WANT TO DO THAT. Please no large quantities of alcohol that isn't liquor, liquor keeps forever and I don't drink much at all by myself so I'll go through it very slowly. I will enjoy it, but I will go through it slowly.
Video games - I have a steam profile with a wishlist. I need to trim the fat on my wishlist, because there are things there that I don't really want anymore but I had put on forever ago.
Posters and artwork - I would love some framed gothy artwork. I'm a little less interested in the outright gross and gore drenched and more interested in the Edward Gorey. Bones and stuff and dark landscapes are cool. Big piles of entrails are not. This is a hard category.
RPG stuff - I am a huge oWoD fan, and I would love a physical copy of the 20th anniversary Mage: The Ascension or Changeling: The Dreaming books. These are stupid expensive though, so like, don't feel like you have to. Also if you can find old copies of the books for Hunter: The Reckoning that is another thing that I would love to have. I have the storytellers guide, visionary, redeemer, martyr, and judge but others have fallen by the wayside. Getting the core book back (someone stole my copy when I was a youth), and the rest of the creedbooks would be super cool
Homemade stuff - are you a person endowed with creativity. Shower me in it! Spray your creativity all over my life. That went to a weird place.
I will probably edit this, but i already feel bad since a gift has been received before I have posted a wishlist
"We believe in the people and their 'wisdom' as if there was some special secret entrance to knowledge that barred to anyone who had ever learned anything." - Friedrich Nietzsche
I arrived home today to find an Amazon package that I didn't recall ordering. I don't think any of my pre-orders are due.
I know. It must be from my Secret Santa!
I excitedly tore open the package to find...
Thank you so much @Reznik ! Let's see what's inside...
I love this movie! It has such a great sense of style and storytelling while having almost no dialogue. One of the films best of the French New Wave and a personal favorite.
Thank you so much, Reznik! I patiently await the second part of your gift.
Jesus Christ.
Three of my neighbors were on ladders putting up lights today. It’s disgusting.

I'd love it if you took a look at my art and my PATREON!
Literally sweatier than playing Trials of the Nine in Destiny 2.
Fire for effect.

Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age [Switch] - Sit down and watch our game play itself
I'm heading on vacation on Saturday so I'm looking forward to some beach reading. In particular Sea Power. Adm. Stravridis was Supreme Allied Commander Europe for NATO and the only member of the US Navy to hold that position. He's also Dean of the Fletcher School at Tufts. So I am really quite interested into digging into what he thinks on Sea Power. And I've heard good things about Peter Ackroyd's writing.
@milski Thank you so very much!
890k. I checked.
(that's what I meant, since it was above 500k)
Oh no! There’s been a delay with one part of this. It looks like the new delivery date estimate is 18-22nd December. I’m bummed but that I guess that’s a way more festive time to receive gifts! I’ll keep a keen eye on the order page
Phillips Hue is a thing I am interested in, as are any other home automation toys that will talk to my Google Home
I do a lot of cooking and there are some things I'm missing or have used up lately such as
silicon baking mats (quarter and half sheet)
I'm out of all the interesting spice blends, specifically chili, cajun, various non-standard salts
a physical copy of the Four and Twenty Blackbirds pie book
I like videogames on the PC and I blindly friend anyone who asks on Steam! I have a Wishlist! I am realspool32 on steam!
There are many many Rockband songs on xbox that I don't own! xbone points or whatever might help? Is that a thing?
I collect Pinny Arcade pins and I have none from the Unplugged show or any of the recent releases! Literally any pin, even duplicates, is good because they are also currency
I will read basically any fantasy or SF booksyou send me but if it's grimdark, sad ending misery like the Joe Abercrombie books I will mope afterwards
I like D&D and any reference / adventure in or around Neverwinter would be cool!
I do not like:
anime
political diatribes
objects which are primarily for putting on a shelf and occasionally observing (action figures etc)
If you are filthy rich or very generous!
My nVidia card is failing and 3 generations old
the wrist pads on my Matias Erg Pro are in need of replacement
Our TV is small, 5yrs old, and has a line of dead pixels
We want to stream Rockband but cannot effectively do it without a thing like this
If you are stumped, you can poke @Blameless Cleric or @Belasco32 and ask them things!
Starting from the upper left, is the Japanese remake of Unforgiven by Lee Sang-il. I've been hunting for this film for a while and I went squee when I opened up the package and saw it inside.
In the upper middle is A Town Called Hell. The director on this is Robert Parish who apprenticed as an editor under Ford. He also was an editor for George Stevens when Stevens was working on the films he presented to the Nuremberg trials. I've always meant to watch some of his films and now I can.
The upper right is A Bullet for the General, a Zapata Western that I didn't have in blue ray. It's a great film in a subgenre that holds a special place for me.
Bottom Left is one of the greatest films of all time. Nuff said.
At the bottom middle is At Home Among Strangers, A Stranger Among His Own. Which is an Ostern, or Soviet Western. It's an entire sub-genre that I've been dying to see.
The last one is Run, Man, Run. Sergio Sollima is one of the Three Sergios (with Leone and Corbucci being the other two) and hands down the most political of the three. And one of the most political of the Italian Spaghetti Western directors hands down.
All of these are fucking awesome. Thank you so much @milski
Thanks so much @Blameless Cleric for the Thor Ragnarok posters! I'm gonna get these framed and stick them next to my computer, woo!
I love these books, since they do an incredible job at illustrating alignment and muscle engagement. High quality yoga nerd stuff.
Anyway, whoever you are, your timing is great. I got the books last night, and early this morning I left on a very short notice international trip to New Zealand for family reasons. Tossed the backbend book and my travel mat in my suitcase at the last minute.
P. S.: your kind note mentioned a third book (too generous!) on the way. While I won't be there to get it, someone else will be. Thanks again!
A kind note and a star gazing device that will go to great use in these unseasonably warm early dark evenings with my daughter!
Thank you @AngelHedgie , you have proven your classiness this holiday season.
And keep your eyes open - you should have more things coming!
Ho. Ho. Ho.
I like cool gaming/media art, here's some art I have in my apartment that I like the style of! Science Fiction stuff that ranges from old school pulp stuff to Alien/Blade Runner aesthetic. Some fantasy art that's dungeon-y might be cool. Stuff I have and like:

Homemade stuff is always cool if you are art inclined. I love cards! I would put it on my tiny shelf of toys and knickknacks above my TV for consistent gazing.
I'm a sucker for games that are dungeon crawlers, darkest dungeon style games, roguelikes... Exanima, Deep Sky Derelicts, Hyakki Castle are all on my must play soon list.

Books are always great. My favorite series I've read in the past few years are the Stormlight Archive and Red Rising. I'd also always read a good detective novel and besides the Cormoran Strike series I probably haven't read it!
Shoot the moon gift would be a Switch. I haven't bought one yet.
Solid maple 20" French rolling pin.
I'm going to guess this is from PA, since it would be a real weird Board Game Geek SS gift. There was no giver named, so thank you anonymous person! I shall thoroughly shame my old crappy rolling pin before replacing it with this beauty.
I just got a new phone so it'll take me a day or two to get shit together so I can take photos and post and stuff cause I'm an old man when it comes to phones but Dark Raven X totally did an awesome.
I've already looked up the model number online and found a cleaning guide.
Also the gears rotate flawlessly.
It's pristine, and you rock. THANK YOU!
Everyone else: This was purposefully vague
