i tried lunaboots on calus this week. I don't think anyone could really take advantage of it on DPS phase though... but we were trying to get creative with 5 locks and a hunter in the group.

I tend to burn through ammo fast though so it's only somewhat useful. My loadout that I tried last night (on my warlock but I think I'm going to give it a go on my titan tonight using the War Rig):
Kinetic: Halfdan-D (high impact autorifle. The big recoil doesn't give me a problem and it has outlaw so reloading is almost instant
Energy: Solemn Hymn - melee kills instantly reloads 15 rounds - easily my favorite energy autorifle in the game

What are the thoughts on Actium War Rig for Callus? With the strength of auto rifles right now, it's autoload feature seems better than I originally thought. It seems to load 5 rounds every 2 seconds, which would increase damage output by reducing the need to reload as often.

seems like a solid idea to me

It's what I use. Also it refills 10% mag size, not just 5 rounds.

The day the Gunsmith decides to drop 300 engrams will be a day of joy celebration.

Also I check that vendorengrams site throughout the day and I never see Sloane hit 300. Maybe I'm just on at all the wrong times.

Actium War Rig and Sweet Business is not only effective, but fun for ALL THE DAKKA in that encounter. You may struggle with refilling your ammo at times, but for actual brute force, it's a good time.

I think Titans have a couple of pretty cool sets personally, I like Devastation Complex coupled with the Crest of Alpha Lupi, with this shader choice I think it basically looks like a futuristic knight set.

She was super late last night. I have the thing open and I don't even know why, I don't have any 305's yet. :rotate:

Anyway, I'm either playing really bad today or the game is grossly overestimating my crucible skill and keeps pairing me against mlg360ttkwtfbbq players.

I'm not having a great time! I just want to finish this damn milestone on my warlock. :(

I like Nessus a lot more then Titan public events going off one after another while on Titan it's just waiting 5-10 minutes between them on Nessus i can keep a constant public event chain going because they were spawning so fast.

I finally figured out how to trigger the heroic version of the glimmer fallen extraction! But the cabal mining one really pisses me off because
You got three to six people all standing on the capture point and i'm the only one trying to shoot that god damn ship out of the sky. Thank god for this rocket launcher

Sev: Your gameplay is the most heavily yomi based around. Usually you look for characters that allow you to force guessing situations for big dmg. Even if the guess is mathematically nowhere near in your favor lol. You're happiest when you have either a 50/50, 33/33/33 or even a 75/25 situation to go crazy with. And you will take big risks to force those situations to come up.

I just want my Heavy Machineguns back, best heavy weapon class by a mile.

Grenade Launchers are a sad substitute.

Hit detection on bouncy grenades are shit, they even seemingly worsened hit detection on Rocket Launchers, the amount of times I've shot a rocket directly through enemies (so it didnt explode) in Destiny 2 is not insignificant, even with huge bosses it sometimes happens.

I'm cautiously hopeful that they're waiting to bring back HMGs as a 'new' power weapon type in a DLC pack.

I plowed a couple hundred tokens into Asher and whatsherface, glados or whatever on Nessus. Lots of dupes, but it worked out well. The one I'm watching for is Devrim.

Sloane is only a possible at the moment.

You can actually put a rocket between an enemy's legs etc without hitting them, couldn't do it if I WANTED to do it, but when you don't want to, well yeah.

Anyone else having trouble logging into Destiny 1? I thought I'd go in and pop all my saved exotic engrams on the off chance of them actually being able to get the PS exclusives, but I keep getting Marionberry'ed which is an error for "Connection Issues" but I can log into Destiny 2 just fine?

On the very slim chance its my stuff causing issues, I already reset the Xbox and the router, no change.

How do the exotics of D2 compare to the ones in D1 Vanilla for you guys? I didn't start playing D1 until right after TTK came out.

I only ask because none of the exotics so far feel very powerful or must have. I mean I guess Merciless is good but its claim to fame is that it fires faster, which isn't all that interesting.

"Good" D1 vanilla exotics off the top of my head:
    Achlyophage Symbiote
    Helm of Saint-14
    Armamentarium
    Icebreaker
    Thorn
    The Last Word
    MIDA Multi-tool
Red Death (edit: pulse rifles in general weren't really in a good place until later in Y1)
    Gjallarhorn
    Vex Mythoclast
SUROS Regime (edit: added - it was the original "meta" weapon)

There's probably 10 more that I'd qualify as "decent" - Merciless is like a worse version of Pocket Infinity, which I'd qualify as "decent."

Celestial Nighthawk, Bones of Eao, Obsidian Mind, Nothing Manacles, Glasshouse, Twilight Garrison - all of these were introduced later.

Those are some pretty iconic weapons in that list there. I know it's early but I can't see any of the current exotics being held in the same light. The perks on weapons (and new exotic armor) are just so . . . tame. Careful, even. Just bland. For me, only Sunshot seems really strong. Again, not counting Merciless, because its strength is also the reason it's so boring.

I might have to reevaluate Transversive Steps a bit, there seems to be a few hidden perks on them, for example, normal walking speed seems increased, crouch move speed is like twice as fast and your slide distance is a 1/4 longer at least, that is not mentioned on the item itself, the exotic perks only states that "when sprinting movement is increased"

Considering running a 1/7/8 spec in Trials and still have plenty of mobility because of Transversive Steps, just wish I could get some cold hard numbers on how good they are.

I think D2 exotics suffer from the fact that they wound up designing encounters around dealing with some of those iconic vanilla D1 weapons.
We're never going to see another Icebreaker- or Gjallarhorn-tier weapon unless Bungie does it by accident. I wouldn't be surprised to see TLW or Red Death come back.
I hope we never see another gun like Thorn that defines PvP for years while Bungie desperately tries to figure out how to balance it. Unless that's MIDA, though I don't feel like MIDA is anywhere near as meta-breaking as Thorn was.

    Yes.

That fact got me killed in a Trials fight last week.

So Transversive will add max sneak movement where you wont show up on radar and also let you walk, slide and sprint faster. (Some people say jump too?)

Oh and I guess reload your secondaries? That one doesnt matter much for me though, I have to always reload my guns.

This conversation made me think about Achlyophage specifically (for those who may be unfamiliar, it was a helm that granted a 4th Golden Gun shot). In Y1 it was arguably the best Gunslinger exotic - Spines of Ahamkara were okay for PvP and made tripmines decent, but most people just used them like sticky grenades back then. At some point (Y2?), Bungie nerfed Achlyophage - it still granted the 4th GG shot, but it also reduced the amount of time you had while in super. This was an unpopular nerf, and many people stopped using the exotic altogether at this point. I believe this nerf was released in a patch around when Celestial Nighthawk was released, so PvE Gunslingers already had a superior alternative, but the reduced time in super really killed the exotic for PvP. In a weird twist, Bungie doubled down on the dumb for D2 and tainted an entire subclass branch (Way of the Outlaw) with that horrible 6-shot GG perk that gives you even less time in super to fire twice as many shots. It's so bad that many players refuse to unlock that node!

The war rig is a good idea unless you're on away team and then you can kinda use whatever because you're always gonna be low on ammo.

Warlock reload puddle is iffy because you have to step in/out of it and you can't do that on the platforms really?

Has anyone tested if jumping straight up while in the rift works to trigger the free reload from Transversive Steps?

The reload puddle boots are Lunafaction. Transversive reloads your energy weapon after sprinting for ~3 steps.

Right, thats what I meant, Lunafaction. Still, anyone test if jumping triggers that reload?

I have those, could test later.
