The biggest of questionable steps, I believe in you Linus :)

It’s common in communities that have been rejected by their families to form a “chosen family” with their friends that have accepted them.
I like to think the kids here have done so and Linus and Malachi share a big brother/ little brother relationship (including how Malachi imitates Linus). So I hope we get a brotherly bonding story from this adventure into the Deep Woods.

Come on Linus. Remember what Bilbo used to say: "It's a dangerous business, going out your door. You step onto the road, and if you don't keep your feet, there's no knowing where you might be swept off to." ;)

"It's just as I've always said. We are being digested by an amoral universe."

Considering Linus is one of the only campers who has shoes, he should consider himself lucky, especially considering there's about an 80% chance that didn't come from an animal.

While I love the main trio to bits, Linus and Malachi's friendship (or whatever it is) is really becoming my biggest favourite in the series!

    I think I wanna draw a tribute. They're just so great! ;w;

Continuity error: where's Linus' backpack and lantern in panel 1?

The Deep Woods is a mysterious and magical place.

That border gradient though. This is about to get real.

Definitely noticed the style change! Love when artists take the time to add these subtle changes to enhance the narrative!

Obviously they where leaning against that tree marking the spot that was the farthest Linus had ever went, that is how he knew the spot. So he dropped back to put them on, that is why Malachi had to turn back to address Linus.

    Woods.
    The final frontier.
These are the voyages of the star-struck Malachi.
    His indeterminate mission:
    To explore Camp Weedonwantcha.
To find new life, and new characterizations.
To boldly go where some bear has gone before!

Whoops!! This is what I get for doing the whole comic and leaving that first panel last. I'll update it later on. Thanks for pointing that out!

And thanks for the comic series. It's a fun read

It's a good thing that Linus brought his lantern along - wouldn't want the other campers to find it intact after it had been 'destroyed'.
