Board Game Night

Just wondering, since PAX East is now 4 days, would board game night be that Wednesday night now? To be honest, I hope it is still Thursday night.

The full name of board game night is 'Pre-PAX Board Game Night', the clue is in the title. Therefore it is likely to be run before PAX starts i.e. Wednesday evening. However, I can't vouch for this as I do not organise it.

It's likely to be Wednesday, but we won't know for sure until the organizers of it have their discussions with the Westin to try to acquire space.

Okay, so Pre-PAX Tabletop Night is a community-run (as in, NOT run by PA, or ReedPop, or whatever) event, done completely because of the volunteer work of certain wonderful individuals that donate their time.

Please be considerate of those who are willing to give their time, energy, and even money to put on a nice event for the benefit of the community.

Well that escalated quickly.

We will target Wednesday night for the event, but as always, it’s up to the hotel to commit to the space for us. So nobody *really* knows for sure until that happens, and the hotel can’t commit to us until they’ve got their paying event rentals booked for the night. Keep an eye on the official thread when it goes up (usually in Jan/Feb) for updates.

(I hope to make it in person this year, whether I go to PAX proper or not.)

I'm British, our primary mode of communication is sarcasm. We built an entire nation and indeed empire on it and tea.

To be fair, if nothing has changed over the last 8 years, saying you know nothing is carries the same weight as "water is wet"
