Hey, I could probably check out the Whole Foods where Alton Brown sometimes films, huh?

I've been to the Kroger, he was not there.

    yes!

all the truly remarkable BBQ will be found in bumblefuck, ga however... not the metro area
Wrong. There's plenty of great BBQ south of 20.

There's also Fat Matt's, but one of my ex's works there.

Having a pot belly is probably a good thing

I tried to post here like six fucking hours ago, but I lost connection to PA.

But I would totally be down for hanging out either of those days, or both. I get off work around 4-6pm weekdays, and I'm only in Lawrenceville, so not far from Stale.

I'm down for whatever. Hanging out at Stale's for a night of gaming radditude sounds like fun, but again, my main impediment to participation is a mode of transport.

If one of you can provide that for me, I'm good.

Were the meeting not being held at the very hotel where I am staying, I would have been able to rent a car on my corporate credit card, but alas, this is not the case.

    Itinerary:

My flight arrives in Atlanta on Tuesday, May 29th at around 4pm. I will be taking the shuttle over to the Holiday Inn Airport North. I have nothing (as far as I know) scheduled for the rest of that day.

I will be in a meeting somewhere in the hotel from 8am to 5pm on Wednesday, May 30th. I have nothing (as far as I know) scheduled for the evening.

I will be in a meeting somewhere in the hotel from 8am to 12pm on Thursday, May 31st. I will be checking out of my hotel that morning. After the meeting is over, my flight leaves at around 4pm. I will probably have lunch after the meeting and then take the shuttle back over to the airport and just kill time there until my flight leaves unless someone wants to do something for a couple hours in the afternoon.

I live in Buckhead. Just a few miles north of midtown.

If you don't drink, you can do the aquarium and see lots of fish. Right next door is that that Coca Cola museum. While your downtown, you can check out the MLK musuem.

If you like sports, The Braves are out of town, Hockey is out, and so is football. You can catch an arena football game on the 30th.

If you like outdoors mixed with southern pride, check out Stone Mountain. Its a giant rock with a carving of Rebel soldiers on the side. Fireworks, laser show in the evening.

If you like seedy nightlife, there are tons of bars and stripclubs I can show you around but since your The Geek, I doubt it.

If you want to shop in eclectic stores while surrounded by the hip, hippies and homeless... goto little 5 points.

Corner Tavern has pretty good food and beer, and I went to highschool with half the staff. El Myr has some of the best burritos in town. Five Spot has some good food and is a great place to see non-trad live jazz. Plus there's a Zesto.

The old location is pretty great if you're any sort of man-child. They have a tasting room with an obscene variety. They sometimes demo random new products. When I was a kid I got to taste test both Powerade and its carbonated variant.

I don't know anything about the new location except that it's next to the new aquarium.

From what I've read, the new one also has a tasting room with like 70+ varieties.

Yep. And I would be happy to pick you up, as I know you need a ride, however there is a snag. I live here. I don't mind picking people up, but going from here to South Atlanta to Roswell would take quite a bit of time, and I might not get off work until like 6pm. :(
