Something something whitty, [LivePD Bingo], yadda yadda....
Sorry for the thread title, couldn't think up anything punny to go with LivePD Bingo.
So I have an immoral and guilty pleasure. I grew up as a kid watching
Cops like A LOT and just can't shake the habit. Now a new show has come along that brings a new twist to the model of
Cops called
LivePD. It is essentially the same format except live with a few minute delay. They follow multiple departments across the country and during low points in the action they have an in-studio cast that discuss stuff that's happening on the screen, the laws being broken, and how you can help some of the local departments.
Currently the show starts every Friday and Saturday night in the US and airs on A&E from 9pm Eastern/6pm Pacific and runs until 12am Eastern/9pm Pacific.
The current departments they follow are:
- Richland County Sheriff's Department (South Carolina)
- Greenville County Sheriff's Office (South Carolina)
- Pasco County Sheriff's Department (Florida)
- El Paso Police Department (Texas)
- Streetsboro Police Department (Ohio)
- Utah Highway Patrol (Utah)
- Pinal County Sheriff's Office (Arizona)
- Clark County Sheriff's Office (Indiana)
- Wakulla County Sheriff's Office (Florida)
- Jeffersonville Police Department (Indiana)
- Lake County Sheriff's Office (Illinois)
- Calvert County Sheriff's Office (Maryland)
LivePD Bingo
One of the unofficial features of the show, that the show its self has seem to support the creation of under the table, is a bingo game based on the series. The concept is simple, you generate a card with the link below and when something happens on the show you check it off. Some of my friends have decided to make it into a drinking game but it is fun without it.

So who is interested in this concept of a game? If you are lets get the show rolling starting this evening!
What this thread is not for is discussing the morality of a show of this nature and judging those who watch it.

Right now on LivePD in Spokane, WA they are escorting SWAT in a bearcat armored vehicle and a a large support truck to a hostage situation live. I recommend turning on A&E.
I’ve actially been watching this show almost since it premiered last year. At first it was one of those things where it was just something to have on in the background on a weekend night when I’m playing a video game or reading or whatever. But I slowly got sucked in, and then my wife started watching it with me, and now we’re both pretty hooked to the point where we DVR it every week.
It’s interesting, because I’m firmly on the side of the BLM movement and those calling out police brutality, and I feel like some of the ethics of the show are a little icky (particularly filming people without their permission, and the very nature of the show tends to propogage some racial stereotypes). However, despite all that, I still can’t help watch. It does have some positives, like how it humanizes the officers you see and get to know on a week-to-week basis, and it does give a perspective of what police have to deal with on a daily basis that you might not see otherwise. So overall, yeah I like and will keep watching.

No idea why, but its my favorite thing to watch on weekends. There has definitely been a few shady things in that show, but -by and large- i think they do a pretty good job of showing the job (minus all the paperwork)

I wish they were still doing shows in Tulsa since that's my home town. Oh well.
I've already got a good card going.
Sleep soon, as soon as I've done everything that a Narwhal must do

Go drive around without your tail lights working and make a cameo!
