Help me find where to buy half of a Powerline kit

Hi all. A while ago I asked for some help with getting Internet into different places in my house, and Powerline was suggested.

I bought this 2-piece TP LInk Powerline kit. It works great! No complaints. In fact, I like it so much that I'd like to get more!

Specifically, there are two parts to what I bought. The one which connects to the router, and the one on the other end which provides the Internet/WiFi to my devices (both plug into an outlet, which makes the magic happen). I want another of the second part, so that I can provide wired Internet easily in a second location in my house.

My problem is that I can't really see where I can just buy that second thing. The closest I can find on Amazon is this, but it looks slower and basically the same price as the kit with both pieces I bought the first time.

So.... am I just not using the right keywords? Is that piece not sold separately? Is it available, but Amazon just doesn't have it (shock gasp)?

Edit: Testing something.

Yeah I'm in the same boat, I need another adapter but they only sell the kits, or, a really shitty older version of the adapter... so I'm buying another kit.

Both ends are equivalent there's no difference between them since you're creating an ethernet bridge.

For what it's worth. I've been in the exact same position and ended up doing exactly what @bowen did.

Haha ok. I guess I can stick the extra one in the basement or something :P

Just have powerline adapters in every room!

Separate question. I never set up the whole "clone your Wi-Fi network" thing, it's just doing a separate network now. If I clone it, does it get treated as one network? Or two networks with identical names/passwords. As in, will I have continuous internet going from the downstairs to upstairs if I move from one "source" to another?

I should know this, but I don't, huzzah

Should technically be 1 network as long as they all go back to the same point. Your device will usually pick the strongest connection.

Yep, set up the other routers in access point mode and they'll create one big network.

I think I just push a button on the powerline thingie to match the network. I'll assume that's what it does. I'll try it out this afternoon!

Despite having Gigabit Wi-Fi in the name, the Amazon description for the main kit (that you already have) says:
Wired speeds up to 500Mbps and wireless speeds up to 300Mbps for lag-free HD video streaming and online gaming
... so I don't think the extender is actually slower.

Huh. Still basically the same price for half the stuff, from what I can tell
