Battle Angel Alita Live Action Film - Eyesize?

Hi hive mind, long time fan of battle angel here, also photoshop dabbler.
Made these to satisfy my own curiosity about what Gally would look like with/without some features from the manga, eyesize, hair stle, etc.
I'm curious how they arrived at the choices they did with the adaptation, esp Alita's eye size.
One would expect a hollywood film with a sizeable budget to lean on the cautious side with design choices, but the cat eyes seems rather exaggerated considering that most of the other characters didn't get their manga-like proportions. Ido's chin for example.
What's your opinion?
