Podcast recordings coming back garbled

So I bought a Blue Yeti Pro mic and for some reason it will not work with my Skype recorders or audacity.

there's no distortion during the actual conversation but when I check the file after the entire thing is a garbled mess. I don't think it's the gain as that would cause issues during the actual conversation yeah?

I'm using Ifree skype recorder at the moment. Windows 10.

    Try using Windows Sound Recorder (just press the Windows key and type in sound recorder, it'll come up) to see if it's a problem with the mic.
