Powerbook G4 Airport card not working, seemingly doesnt exist

My airport card has always worked fine. Although th other day it couldn't detect the network in th student union, which was odd. Now Airport doesn't show up in the top right corner, and none of the settings can turn it on- it says there is no card detected. When I went to about this mac, it couldn't display any statu on the card.
What are my options at this point? I've had this pb for 2 years now, and while it's been pretty much the best end user experience, thi is literally the 8th time it has ulled some bullshit on me. Serious dependebility issues.
