Looking for wireless keyboard/mouse

The problem I'm having is that there's something specific I want. Basically I'm looking for this kind of keyboard, but I hate the mouse that it comes with because of the scroll wheel. I like the clicky kind, not the smooth scrolling.

Am I stuck with buying this combo and finding a different mouse?

You could try this Logitech one. I think it has the better, "clicky" wheel, but you should definitely try to find out for sure.

I don't believe it - I'm on my THIRD PS3, and my FIRST XBOX360. What the heck?

Do you really need a wireless keyboard?

Unless you have say a media centre computer they are pretty much just extra dressing and not needed.

Get yourself a pimping regular keyboard and the most awesome mouse ever created.

(said mouse lives at this address http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/products/details/US/EN,CRID=2135,CONTENTID=12134 )

Duh, I guess I could have checked the Logitech site directly, nice find. I think that smooth scrolling wheel is a Microsoft thing, but I'll look into it, thanks.

I'm looking for wireless because I plan on hooking my computer up to my LCD TV once in a while and the wireless mouse/kb would make it possible. Otherwise I agree, they're kinda pointless.

Holy crap, two scroll wheels? Crazy.

Yeah those microsoft ones have that soft scroll wheel that you can't really feel the scrolling, making it really hard to scroll through weapons in shooting games and just has a nasty silicone-like feel to it.

The MX Revolution has a special wheel that can enable/disable tactile feedback on the fly! Schweet.

Yeah... I much rather scrolls that are kinda bumpy, but only enough for you to gently feel it... something about the 100% smooth ones gives me the heeby-jeebies :P

Anyway: Logitech makes good shit man, browse their site.

Also depends on: What do you plan on doing with said keyboard/mouse? What are your needs? Gaming? Typing/office work? 3D applications/photoshop? General use?

I'm mostly going to be using it for gaming, but no twitch-FPS type games. Mostly RTS's and a Diablo clone here and there. That's just all I've been playing lately.

Although image editing would be pretty sweet on the big screen as well.

My main concerns were the split keyboard and non-mushy mouse wheel, I don't need bells and whistles.
