I have an American DS Lite, and cannot use the charger here in the UK.

Can anyone confirm it's safe to simply buy a charger over here to use with it?

    It's safe.

My DS is from Canada IIRC.

Getting a USB charger is generally the best way to get around the voltage issue, I find.

Mine's from Japan, I just plugged it in using the GBA plug. The plug on the hardware itself is the same -- the hardware is identical across the world.

Sweet, she's charging up explosion-free right now. The guy in Game had no idea, I just knew the US charger wouldn't take the voltage.

Your question has already been answered, but for further reassurance, I've been using a Game charger for nearly a year now, no problems :)

The DS is rather magically international in design all-around. Solved threads!
