Rules
The kingdom of Astoria was suddenly thrown into a war. The hostile empire began the campaign to take the fertile lands for their own. The military strength of the empire was vast, the royal army was obliterated, and the capital of Astoria fell.
Only one member of the royal family, Cornelia is left. She was just sixteen, a small child with no knowledge of politics or military tactics. But she did not hesitate a second to devote her life to her youthful ideal of vengeance.
“I will fight to the bitter end for my people. It is true that this fight is nigh hopeless. Nonetheless, I call upon all of you who refuse to cast away your hope! Gather! Gather around our Unicorn Flag!”
Meet Princess Cornelia! She's determined to free her people from under the yoke of the empire! She's virtuous! She's plucky! She's determined! She's...not too bright. The princess is in such a hurry to free her people, she WILL plow ahead without caution, even if it means a suicidal attack. The game is over if she dies before reaching the capital.
It's up to you players, each representing one of her generals, to cooperate and clear the path, support her, and sometimes outright block her in order to save the kingdom. You'll have to make your way through a cast of a dozen randomized empire generals, each with their own tricks, before reaching the capital and facing the emperor, who is stronger the more of his generals are still alive. Can the princess reach the capital within 10 turns before empire reinforcements alive?

Everyone pick a kingdom character. I'm going to have to scan the sheets so to save work I'll only be doing the ones we're using. If you want a detailed description of their abilities, just ask.

(emperor should have 8 soldiers on him)
Enemies with red backgrounds are aggressive, and will begin moving towards the nearest kingdom hero 1 space per turn as soon as one enters within a 1 area range.
Blue background: defensive, will never move.
White: Will move only to attack adjacent kingdom hero.
Remember you must pause and draw a fate card the first time a character moves into the same area or adjacent space as an empire general (exceptions: Black Knight, King of the Abyss, Emperor).

I think that Ben and I might have to move to block the Princess, otherwise she'll move right up to the dragon directly and exhaust her resources. If we block the road spot and grass spot (closest to me), Princess will move to the grass spot NE of where Ben started.
I can also consider moving onto the mountain spot in SE corner of Dragon hex to get it to focus on me fully.
We do have to funnel supplies to the princess - 13 spaces to move, 10 turns to do so and the desert is the most expensive (albiet safest) path
I am a Big Freakin' Half-Dragon, and I go it alone: because my military power is 0, I can never have troops following me around, but I always, always fight (offense or defense) like I had 5 soldiers following me. Among other things, that means all damage I take in combat goes directly to my face. But, I am one of the few characters who can heal themselves, albeit at the cost of a support card. So I should absolutely ensure I grab one of those every turn.
My combat dice are pretty well-weighted towards success - 50% chance of hitting an enemy, 33% chance of taking a (potential) hit, and 17% chance of nothing happening. I like those odds.
Also, I can never gather resources, but I never need to spend any to move, either, so that's nice. Unfortunately, that means I can't send them to anyone else, either.
It seems like I should start off by working my way towards the Temple of the Night God, and clearing that out, so that others can use it as a restocking point? The only other place I could reach this turn is the commercial city to the north. Killing Gregario (guarding the temple, of course) and maybe taking him as an ally would be a huge boon to me?

Reminder that there is no limit to the amount of supplies you can hold (just soldiers, up to your green strength value), so you could stock up a ton before venturing out. You're not limited to the starting 10.
Also you don't automatically get an enemy as an ally if you defeat them. It's only through event or fate cards that that might happen. Roughly half the fate cards help you, half hurt you.
My starting set doesn't have a supply bonus
My fear with trying North is that it's mostly away from the Emperor so I'm not sure she'll even head that way without a ton of maneuvering that I'm fearful will drain our resources just to point her that way and leave us in trouble for actual fights.
I think West is going to be what we'll need to do so we can keep moving forward ourselves.
If we're going to use CJ to back us, we'll have to be close, so that's another reason that I think West works, is it puts everything closer to CJ's pathing for those extra dice.
As in, maybe free up Ben to start working on the Temple of the Night God Hex with Elvenshae while I work on the Dragon.
Oh right, filthy Hermit. Reaching Donia's starting space only costs you 8 supply. Also others can send you supplies from 1 area (area = 7 space hexagon tile) away.
11 supply and in any case we can't share spaces right? I move before donia
What I'm actually going to do is send all my soldiers away and then move. If I get into combat I'm doing it wrong anyway I think
3 to move into the forest, 3 to move into the desert, 2 to move into her starting space. It's 2 per space since you have 2 soldiers and the desert and forest are +1 each.
