Maybe because one of my favorite moments in Overwatch was a Mystery Heroes game where the reds got three Hogs and stomped us all the way to the final point of Junkertown. Then my brother (who dabbles in Bastion) got Bastion while I got Lucio, so I just danced back and forth in front of him, amping heals and letting them hook me repeatedly while he mowed them down (and got PotG).
The body blocked hooks! Felt so clever, at the time...
Plus body blocking is like 100% of the defense a Ham can offer his team, so it suits him.

I'd like to see a Rein rework at some point. I really want to like playing him but I hate his charge. It's frustratingly difficult to land, and it has to be because it's so crazy powerful. I'd be curious to see it tweaked to be more about mobility and less about pinning. For example maybe it's faster to start and uninterruptible, but it knocks people away with moderate damage instead of pinning for heavy damage.

The threat of Rein's charge is much more powerful than Rein's actual charge.
But you need that threat of 350 damage to keep enemies nervous about just walking through your shield and murdering you
It's why most of the time his charge isn't a mobility tool at all - because it leaves you much more vulnerable while it's on cooldown

Yeah but like imagine if it had a quicker startup and also was cancellable. Like with all reworks he would be giving up something, for sure. But his hammer is already quite scary if you're rushing into his range, unless you're Reaper or something of course.
Without disagreeing with or denying all the people who say Rein feels weak and soft these days, I just don't understand it.
Because on Rein I still feel like a one-way ticket to the pain train. In a game otherwise full of corner hugging, one-shots, and just general danger, I am REINHARDT, and I walk slowly at my enemies. Or hop slightly faster. Or jetpack charge. Sometimes I swing my hammer, and then sometimes that hammer throws literal fireballs at people.
The point is, I go where I want and I crush my enemies before me. A few boops and stuns don't really change that feeling.
She kind of is, though. Her rockets give her some pretty crazy burst damage.
that she's usually best off using to assassinate anyone who jumps her back line. plus DM is just too powerful as a group-protecting tool to use on yourself after diving too deep
like she can definitely rush down an enemy away from their team, but as someone who plays a lot of D.Va, I tend to see sticking with my backline/healers as my default unless I see a solid opportunity

Ima lose my mind with these shitty Doomfist players who won't switch off when it's clear they can't do shit, I've never felt Torb or Widow as being troll picks but good God does it feel that way with Doomfist.
My finance aren't what they were so I am resisting the urge to buy loot boxes and pile more skins on top of skin mountain. If I don't get the D.Va. and Zen skins though I will be pretty salty. And I don't even like baseball, I just love Zen.

I got Waveracer and Zen's skins in loot boxes, so I'm pretty pleased with how little I've spent on this event so far.

Edit: oh and I think my slump might be over! Had an awesome Tracer game on Ilios last night, we win, gold elims and damage, shot caller and sportsmanship endorsements - I was livin' the high life again. Their DPS were runnin' scared, McCree was desperately gunning for me and I pulled an awesome rope-a-dope on their Brigitte - emptying a clip into her back, blinking through her and around a corner, rewinding back behind her and finishing her off.
It was so nice.

So I just started getting back into this game after a year and I'm still catching up on all the changes.
The impact of no Mercy mass resurrect is pretty huge though. So many teams in comp running Zarya + Hanzo and it feels like there's very limited counterplay these days to that ult combo. DVa appears to not heave nearly the uptime on her defense matrix that she used to, so mostly you need to have Zenyatta or...just a bunch of heros that can individually escape/survive the grav (Mei, Tracer, I forget if Rein can charge out, can Roadhog heal through it?)
Yes of course the team should not be as grouped when there's a Zarya on the field but I'm just one solo dude and can't really enforce that. So is Zenyatta basically mandatory on 2CP defense now? Am I forgetting some other abilities that can counter this combo?

Oddly, I find Symmetra is great at avoiding the Zarya + Hanzo wombo combo. Unless the dragon ult is hitting before Zarya's ult, the teleporter pops up fast enough that Symmetra can just throw down the turret and teleport out of the gravity surge to safety.
And presumably save anybody else that uses the teleporter as well.

Mei can wall her team out of the dragon and Grav's radius just got nerfed, but yes Hanzo/Zarya v Zen was The Meta for a while recently. They even nerfed Dragonstrike so that it can't be damage boosted, which would make it out-damage trance.

Depends on comp. Ana's grenade will cancel the healing your team gets from trance. Sym's teleport can get people out I think, and I haven't tried the improved Lucio ult yet so not sure how that works out.

The buff: Only 3 things can escape grav right now : Reaper can wraith form out, Moira can fade out, and Sym can teleport herself and her team out.
Rein's charge, Genji's dash, Tracer's blink and recall, Mercy's guardian angel and Winston's leap no longer allow them to escape.
Also, Zarya loses energy a little slower, so she gets it faster.
The nerf: its size is a little smaller.

The seashells, deep sea lure coming out of her forehead and the scales on her suit read more Atlantis to me than the weird aliens from Starcraft.
