Best way to back up Playstation Vita content locally without PS3/PS4?

MorranMorran Registered User regular
I would like to have a local back up of my Playstation Vita games (both the game application themselves, as well as the game save data).

I do not own a PS3 nor PS4.

The way to do this, as far as I understand, is to download the games to my vita, and then copy them through the content manager application to my PC. It is a somewhat slow process, since I only have a 16 GB card in the Vita. Also, I do not really find a simple way to view which game application data I have where? Are there such a list in the manager PC application?

Is there a better way of doing this? Are there any non official applications I can use (which would not require custom firmware or would put my account in jeopardy)?

The only official way to do it is with the content manager app. As far as I know there is no other way at all without using custom firmware.

It's actually easier to use content manager, I think, since you can do it over wifi.

Content manager on Vita, either official manager or QCMA on your PC. Works over wireless, and is pretty simple overall.

    Slow though.
