Best/easiest way to sync MP3 library on NAS with iPhone
I consider myself a reasonably intelligent person, but putting MP3 music on my iPhone using iTunes stumps me. It just seems immensely cumbersome and roundabout, so I wonder whether there's something I don't get. I'm fine adding new music to the iTunes library (although this too strikes me as less user-friendly than I'd expect it to be), but adding new library items to my phone is a headache.
Is there an idiot-proof How To (text or video) that'll help me become better friends with iTunes? Or are there alternatives to using iTunes that are much better and much easier? (In case this affects the answer, I've got MediaMonkey.)

Not sure if it's up-to-date or relevant to your sitch.
I personally hate iTunes, and have resorted to using Google Play Music, cloud-syncing my stuff (you can upload up to 50,000 tracks to their cloud storage for free) and streaming it when I'm on the go. Amazon Music also does this, but not for much longer (they are dropping cloud storage support for music, which will happen in the next couple of years depending on your subscription).
I'm really surprised at how user-unfriendly iTunes is in so many respects, because usually I consider Apple to be the best when it comes to making things user-friendly, sometimes to a fault.
