copy kid giving the remedial students of class 1-A shit because class 1-B only had one remedial student, regardless of the fact that he was that remedial student, was perfection

Add mind control boy to class A, make class B more prominent in the story so that we see more of Big Fist and Tetsutetsu and the rest.

Boot Mineta to make room for mind control boy

Mind control boy isn't even in the proper hero course, which is why.

He's in General Studies course. The show largely focuses on the lives of the kids in the Hero course, and class A particularly, so it makes some sense that we haven't crossed paths with him again yet.

Kacchan is an asshole but he's most an asshole around Deku because he kind of realizes that Deku does have a lot of better hero qualities.

She's been in every episode, though. They just can't stop giving her cameo appearances.

I would love to see Shinso and Bakugo hang out for an arc, that could go places

I didn't even think of that application. I thought of the power being used to subdue villains, but using it to get people out of emergency situations when they're otherwise too panicked to get to the exits would be an amazing use of the power. Even just using it to shut someone down for a moment so they can reasses the situation would be useful.

As @BugBoy pointed out to me a few days ago, it's weird as all hell that Shinso's quirk is considered "too villainous" while nobody bats an eye at Meatball

i think shinso could apply himself in the support/rescue roles y'all have mentioned really well OR become the next generation's eraserhead, if he threw himself into the combat training

One problem with the Eraserhead route is that his power can only trigger if someone answers a question he asks. Once he gets popular, villains would know to shut the hell up as soon as they know he's on the scene.

That's not how it works. All they have to do is say anything and he gets power.

Imagine how hard it is to shut the fuck up as a Shonen villain.

Sounds like he could focus on stealthy entrances then and get them before they know he's arrived.

As an aside, it's neat how his power is basically the magical gourd from Journey to the West.

Watched the first two episodes just now, shows like this always get off to a bit of a slow burn and this is no exception, but I'm on board enough to watch more soon. Though I did raise an eyebrow at the first episode containing both a giant lady and tentacle in mouth.

I'm sure this show would be firing on a couple more cylinders for me if I was into western comic books at all, I'm sure there is going to be stuff referencing it. Like, I'm sure All Might is some kinda superman or captain america nod or both but I don't know enough to say anything other than super surface level stuff.

Fire guy is a dick, I have a feeling that he's going to stick around for a while though, unfortunately. I just hate bullies.

while true, I'm sure there could be interesting routes around that if it was the direction he was taken

like--could you guarantee your henchmen wouldn't talk, especially if they thought they were answering a question from someone who they thought was a fellow henchman at first? and once that first domino fell, how effective can a crew be without ever answering one another while they're being picked apart in different rooms, batman style? it would have a fun, disruptive effect on the way villains operated in his district, changing what made a villain successful around him!

God, that sludge man from the first episode was a solidly nasty way to really introduce the concept of villains to the show.

"I need to escape town. Oh, I know! I'll suffocate a child and walk his corpse out of town! Genius!"

    Brr.

yeah it was kinda fuzzy and framed like "answering a question" was necessary in his fight with midoriya, but I think its trigger is "reply to him"

I don't think so. I think that context was just "don't respond to his taunting" because he kept saying shit to try and get a reaction from Midoriya and get him to say something so he could take over.

But it's been a while since I saw that episode so I could be wrong.

Some ambiguous phrasing. I implied that they needed to say something to answe his question. It actually is that they need to say anything at all in response to him.

He got Deku when he was basically just monologuing insults, and Deku responded with what was basically "shut up!"

Yeah but that's still replying to them

I don't think his power would work if, for example, a villain was telling his team mate not to say anything and Shinso was just also in the room

We didn't see him use that power in his fight with All Might, and it's very unlikely that he'd consider that a useful power for either of his other options. I think Shinsou is safe.

also apropros of nothing but copy boy from Class B has literally the best power for a hero to have in macademia's world. If he works with a versatile team and practices with them then he can be like an all around utility hero for any situation. Too bad he's like the Bakugo of his class and has such a shitty personality.

    That's his drawback. It's for game-balance.

His end game seems to be passing it to Shigaraki since hes barely alive as is. Thats why I think he locked himself in a supervillian prison. He has ragdolls power so he knows where every inmate is and he can recruit or take their powers. So if he can mind control a guard its just a matter of waiting for a good time to bust out
