Get ready for another weekend of PAX West 2018 and its Parties! Here at the Party Line 2018, I will try to provide the most up-to-date information regarding all Parties that have been advertised.
To keep this list updated, please post info on any party/meetup you might know so it can be added! I will keep the list updated here with time, date, location, cost, etc. so that everyone can have a single point of reference. Also follow @paxparties on Twitter as they are always up-to-date on what is currently happening including capacity/overflow/etc.

It's back, and it's bigger and better than ever. 10 years in the making, it's Pink Party X, presented by ArenaNet and brought to you by Queerspace Magazine and Queer Geek! Bring your PAX party to our party, the biggest and best queer geek party during PAX West. You don’t even need a PAX badge to come! All of the queer gamers, geeks, and nerds will be there. If you only come out of your parents’ basement once a year, then you’d better come out for this!
Come check out the plethora of console and arcade gaming stations in the PINK PARTY GAYMING LOUNGE, enjoy a few geek-themed featured drinks, and dance your heart out to our amazing music from DJ Krot and DJ Nome Goldie. Don’t forget to get your cosplay ready for the OFFICIAL PINK PARTY COSPLAY CONTEST, hosted by queer comic Nick Sahoyah (8-Hit Gaming, Cool Mom), where you can win cash and prizes.
A portion of the proceeds from Pink Party X will benefit Seattle’s Center for MultiCultural Health and Entre Hermanos.
In addition to getting tickets for Pink Party X online, you can also get them directly from the venue (for a lower surcharge). Just swing by The Runaway from 4pm to 2am everyday.

Kremwerk proudly presents a video game-themed drag show, just in time for PAX weekend, where all performers will be doing numbers inspired by all things Nintendo, Sega, Atari, and beyond!

Kremwerk strives to be a safe space. The following actions or display of behavior will not be tolerated: bigotry, racism, sexism, transphobia, homophobia, misogyny, ableism, as well as the disrespect of the rules of consent. Our staff is here to support you.
Also, the team running this is pretty responsive to any questions people have.
I knowwww... thank you. I'm just super impatient, and I like to plan my weekend in advance

"This is a first come, first served event, your RSVP does not guarantee admission. We suggest arriving as early as possible."
To be fair, I think most company sponsored parties function this way (save the smaller meetups). Bioshock was a mess because they gave priority to cosplayers and had the intentions of divvying RSVPs vs walk-ins but it kind of fell a part.
EDIT: Looks like the RSVP ticket is going to be required for that Predator party - https://www.gamesradar.com/the-predator-gaming-after-party-comes-to-pax-west-2018/
"*Entrance will be granted on a first come, first served basis for those who show an electronic ticket provided after registration or flyer and US identification."
Not sure if this constitutes as a hangout, but this looked fun:
Friday August 31 - Saturday Sep. 1
Red Bull Challenge Mode
5 p.m. - 10 p.m. both days.
Location: BLOCK 41 115 BELL STREET, SEATTLE, WA 98121
I might go just to check out that pop-up shop.
Interesting find. But "... or flyer and US identification" makes it sound as if the ticket won't matter, no?
You might be right there. Never hurts to RSVP though.
Trion Worlds checked our names on a list upon entry and warned people in line not to bother if they didn't RSVP. Lenovo Lounge at Hard Rock last year also required an RSVP. Granted there was still a line outside and I don't think they officially sold out, but they did scan our tickets.
I will definitely be at the Red Bull challenge mode! One of my FAVORITE rappers is performing! I just gotta figure out exactly what DAY/TIME he will be performing.

The Messenger PAX West Party!
Sunday, September 2 at 8 PM - 12 AM
Come celebrate The Messenger's launch with the team and industry friends! We've got booze, poutine, and live music from Rainbowdragoneyes, who made all those sweet tracks for the game!
You do NOT need a PAX West badge to get in.
You must be 21+ to enter.
First 100 guests get free drinks tickets!
This one falls into that gray area that I had to consider. I believe this event falls within PAX hours, runs consecutively all 4 days and is more of a PAX Event than a Party. Please correct me if I am wrong!
Things I consider before posting a new potential party:
- Anything put out by PAX itself I try to avoid. Concerts and usual PAX West venue locations are examples. There are always exceptions to this and any rule here.
- Anything invite-only. There are a few parties out there that I have opted-out from listing due to this.
- The Party must have an event page posted up so I can link to it. I do try to reach out with any event posted to see if they have an event site or can make one. An events page gives more of a feel of authenticity.
DMC5 SSStylish Pizza Party
Join us for a special evening with Devil May Cry 5 director Hideaki Itsuno and producers Michiteru Okabe and Matt Walker!
Featuring Dante...'s favorite pizza: Pepperoni. But we’re kicking it up a stylish rank or two, and bringing you fancy flatbread pepperoni slices.
We’re working closely with Sonicboombox to make it the most kickass DMC party ever. We’re even enlisting the help of DMC fan and cosplay extraordinaire VampyBitMe to host the party (btw, keep an eye out on Twitch.tv/VampyBitme as she gears up for the occasion)! Speaking of cosplay, we’d love to see more awesome DMC cosplay, so if you’ve got some of your own, please do come in as your favorite DMC character.
Featuring photobooth, live DJing Chuck None and more!
We're doing it again! Thanks to our friends at Square Enix we are once again partnering up to celebrate Life is Strange. Last year we had a line around the block, so this year we are taking over the WHOLE venue at the Unicorn. WOWZA!
Entry is free for all but the first 100 people in line will get free drink tickets. It's open to anyone 21+ in the Seattle area, no PAX badge required.
Mingle with us (y'know, the dorks from What's Good Games) and the incredibly talented developers from DONTNOD Entertainment to celebrate the upcoming launch of the first episode of LIFE IS STRANGE 2.
Share your favorite moments from the series, enjoy refreshments, snap a picture in the photo booth and enter for a chance to win games, SQUARE ENIX prizes and more. (Posting something to social media? Use hashtag #WhatsGoodPAX!)
Hope to see you there! and don't forget to join us at the Expanding the Universe of Life is Strange panel on Friday August 31st at 12:00 p.m. in the Wyvern Theater!
Friday, August 31st from 3:30PM-7:00PM @ Coterie Work Lounge, 1414 4th Ave, Seattle, WA 98101
Have the chance to meet policymakers, industry and fellow game creators. Refreshments will be provided, as well as (hopefully!) stimulating conversation! RSVPs can be sent to [email protected] .
During PAX, I will be keeping my eyes out for any other event that might be happening over the weekend, but if anyone hears about any parties, do let us know!
I am always open to feedback. If you have suggestions, please, suggest away!
Have fun and please be responsible!
We'll be playing two original adventures, the first starring the d20 Dames and the second starring the Queens of Adventure, a troupe of actual drag queens who play D&D. You can get tickets to one or both shows: https://kremwerk.strangertickets.com/events/57471866/double-d20-adventure-extravaganza
Hope to see you there!
We're playing Quiplash on the big screen at the Pocket Theater tonight at 7pm and then wandering around the bars of Seattle's Greenwood neighborhood. If you're looking for a laid back after-PAX event tonight, check it out.
